My old jalopy gains 2 fps at Miami with the DC-6 and LW (around 25 instead of 23). A 60 GB download for that ? And the cockpit panning is not smooth anymore.

Yeah same here, the BIG performance improvement turned out to be not that that BIG, quite a few issues now, grainy textures, stutters (had them before but it's not any better), some settings that don't work anymore (or at least not as before, CTD's, TrackIR loosing connection. I'm not impressed atm. Far from.

Different machine different experience, for me the fps definitely has increased a lot with the trade of of the rendering view as some maybe aware of. However, I am happy with my sim now although will be nice if Asobo add an option to increase the rendering view and thus reduce the small stutter when move the views in the cockpit.

Xcub 20 fps increase

Toolbar enhanced VFR map icon images are gone, basic icon surroundinge there.

1 map works, other one doesnt work anymore

IA traffic crashes game.

I have a big performance improvement and didn't see any pop-ins yet. For me this is a great update so far.

For me as well, but I was also getting CTDs until I turned off all AI Traffic.

I am using Ai traffic and no CTD's caused by that yet. Just got a CTD zooming in on the world map. I also have multiplayer off.

Although I dont really miss AI traffic much I wonder how this could happen.

Beta tester must have noticed this or was this some last minute change?

It's probably telling you it's time for a new computer. Were you expecting a miracle?

Must be in one of my add ons,  Disabled all and now no crash with AI

Update turned off Bing Data, had to turn that back on to get decent graphics. Weird but fixable.

Update reversed my elevator trim knob. I kept trying to trim up on first flight and nose dived. Weird but easily fixable, just reversed the axis in settings.

Big improvement fps everywhere from 38 to 54 typically outside dense scenery cities on my low end rig/2K monitor (everything set to Ultra).

There definitely is scenery popping every single time I do a quick view right or left. Or in outside view just scroll the view with a mouse. Every time I change view direction it takes about 1 second for all the scenery to load (pop in). Always, every time. Never did that before.

That reverse trim I mentioned, caused a nosedive crash. Immediately CTD. So then I went testing by deliberately crashing planes: it CTD's. No mournful music, the sim just vanishes.

Overall I'm very happy with SU5 on my system. Everything feels so much smoother than before. I don't really experience those pop-in issues like some others. I am running the sim in 4K with Ultra Preset and couldn't be any more happier. Asobo has done a great job!

I've had 3 CTDs just trying to install all the million and one updates hidden away in the marketplace and content manager. Had another one after waiting overnight to download the main set of updates at 0.2Mb/s. I'm seriously unimpressed.

Got the sim running once for a discovery flight, it looks very pretty... just as pretty as it did before, in fact.

i7-10700K; RTX 2070 Super; 16GB; P3Dv4.5HF3 & MSFS2020.

Performance is great here, flew a circuit around Heathrow and over London City in the 747-8i at Ultra settings with the real world conditions of complex cloud layers - would've been a horror show pre-SU5, now it flies that as smoother as any other sim on the market, but with visuals that cannot be matched

With my general panning around on approach, I didn't notice any pop-in. The only stutters I saw was after going from high-end to Ultra, going to external view and seeing all of London re-draw itself

1080ti, 32gb, i7-7700k 4.2

Scenery popping in:

Start a flight in a small plane, small airport, parked on a main runway with scenery to see off in the distance on both sides. Do a cockpit quickview left and quickview right (snap views). I think you all will see how the scenery pops.

It never did before on my system. It always does now.
