It will be interesting to see how Asobo and Microsoft react to this. I'm not an attorney so I have no knowledge of any breach of EULA.

As an individual user who wants to selfishly modify the platform to use a competing product i guess it would be interesting. As for anyone else who wants to see MS/Bing Maps/Asobo succeed in this project this is a non starter and i hope this gets patched out real quick. For all the word not allowed(grief) i have given and will give MS/Asobo when they screw up this type of platform manipulation to use the competing product is just not on for me. August 20, 20214 yr .. and speaking at least just to the screenshots posted in the mod description page... Is it just be or does it kinda looks worse than MSFS native? I dont see any trees or vegetation - things that are procedurally generated from the base BING map ortho - things that contribute far more to the overall quality of the image than the photo overlay itself. And if thats the case, whats the point? I read the description and there wasnt any mention of this.. I could certainly be missing something of course - maybe the author can elaborate.

Just my opinion Many modder used GoogleMaps for 3D region creation in MSFS2020 and it was not so bad when compared with the existing Bing 3D data. Additionally, there seeems to be no legal problem with those outsourced data. Besides, ASobo/MS did not care about those. Of course these are interval solutions and we all want to see native data will improve. This is just a personal use mod which some would like to try or not. It is better not to use offensive wording, in any case.
