September 16, 20214 yr Hi there, We have published our latest NOTAM detailing the FlyByWire Simulations stance on the MSFS marketplace and Xbox Compatibility. https://flybywiresim.com/notams/marketplace-announcement/
September 16, 20214 yr Quote Finally, although the SDK has improved since the release of the sim a year ago, it still lacks some key functionality that limits what we can do with the aircraft. In an effort to work around this, we are considering the possibility of running certain components of the aircraft outside the simulator - something that would also not be compatible with the marketplace. Not a great sign for high-fidelity add-ons in MSFS.
September 16, 20214 yr MS/Asobo really needs to start prioritizing the on getting the SDK as complete as possible. Without it, there are still certain developers that are left stuck. Such as GSX and AIG OCI and a few others to mention. ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU

Isn't the majority of good P3D addons running outside the sim anyway exactly because the sim itself is very limiting? Isn't the end result good regardless? I wouldn't mind if it did run outside the sim as long as the presentation inside the sim works correctly. A big thank you to the FBW team for keeping it real (literally) and being the main reason to fly in MSFS for the past year. Looking forward to the next small miracles they come up with 😊 P. S. A really good decision on both fronts, to leave the marketplace and the Xbox version out. They were already inundated with support requests because kids downloading it from the marketplace couldn't start the engines with CTRL+E so I would be dreading what would happen when the Xbox crowd got their hand on it... Anyone looking for a high fidelity addon should use the pc, and do their own research and studying prior to flying. Otherwise we will have unfair reviews of addons that are perfectly fine but people don't bother learning how to use them... Edited September 16, 20214 yr by Makinen11
September 16, 20214 yr Welp. But we did see this coming anyways. Hopefully xbox users will eventually move to pc once the desire to have more features that the xbox cannot provide start to set in. I consider the xbox version to be a pretty good introduction to the hobby. I just don't see it as the final version to have once the sim flying bug bites. Too many limitations. It's also impossible to do on xbox. They want to keep the 2 version as close as possible. So yeah the SDK needs to be updated but having a close system approach is a more secure one and I understand why Asobo and MS wants to keep it that way. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

I’m not sure that’s universally true. Isn’t PMDG planning to sell on the XBox, and Aerosoft CRJ? Second... https://flybywiresim.com/a32nx/#download Third... best bet is to just download their installer. That way, with a few clicks you can always make sure you have the latest version of whichever branch you want before loading MSFS. PC: I9-10900K, RXT 3090, 64GB RAM, 3840x1080 49" super-ultrawide
