SDK UPDATE General Regarding the fspackagetools.exe bug that appeared on SU6, we published a series of hotfixes on DevSupport. If you are impacted by this issue, you can find help here: https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/articles/3288/fspackagetool-workaround-to-display-debug-console.html. Dev Mode We improved the Teleport window: it no longer forces the slew mode in developer cam. We also fixed the dev cam switch. Scenery Editor: We restored the Color Extractor, which had been removed on a previous update, as some users internally needed it again. And we fixed its major crashes. We fixed the gltf textures that were not updated automatically. We fixed the apron resume edition when there is a spline. We also fixed the aprons that were invisible just after their creation. Visual Effects Editor: We now allow spawning VFXs on SimObjects without setting any node or any contact point. VFX will be attached to the root node of the object. We added a new label for EmitterList to show explicitly that StaticMesh is a possible child. Aircraft Editor: Cylinder displacement is now correctly converted to cubic inches in the AircraftEditor. 3RD PARTY UPDATE As of 10/23, we have now approved 219 (+0) third parties into the in-sim marketplace and – so far 123 (+4) have released 582 products on PC (+28) and 231 on Xbox (+28). Not quite sure why they're limiting this test to peripheral/aircraft experts either. Sim Update 7 is going to be a major update both to core and content, and DirectX 12 needs stability testing on many hardware configurations. Feels like they're going against the planned opt-in beta.

While I'm not a real life expert I might count as a peripheral user... And yes, I had certainly preferred an open beta for SU7. Kind regards, Michael You could always grab gamepass for a dollar if you've never taken advantage of that deal. Yeah I know, silly to pay to test something you already own. I totally didn't do that once, nope, not at all. I kid, I was already using gamepass for other things, being able to test was just a bonus. Edited October 28, 20214 yr by Tuskin38

I have a DVD version on my shelf which would create a MS Store installation. However, given I nearly screwed my system during the initial MS Store installation a year ago, I promised to myself to never touch it.😉 Kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11
October 29, 20214 yr Interesting. So now they're eliciting specific aircraft experts to ignore during testing. I think they'll be waitin' awhile for any Volocopter pilots. October 29, 20214 yr Logbook should not pop..................................................... That is clearly the least of the logbook issues. October 29, 20214 yr So the update is due in 2-3 weeks, yet now they're asking for experts to join the beta #facepalm. Why do they consistently leave things so late to test? The very second SU6 dropped they should've advertised for specific testers for SU7 so that they're ready to be introduced immediately as and when needed, get ahead of the curve and prepare in advance... It's not rocket science guys 🙄 Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Every time I want to go into C&D at the ramp, the logbook prevents switching off the plane to the end. And yes, I don't think it requires rocket science to fix. The logbook is broken anyway. Sometimes it records landing without takeoffs, another time just the opposite and sometimes neither or both. It's all by chance. See the official forum for a host of complaints. October 29, 20214 yr Well Well... "Implement Weather and Terrain APIs" is now under active investigation. That IS good news!!! Hopefully that means getting accurate weather from third parties and also weather and terrain radar! That's one of the main things missing to us unfortunate souls who never seem to get accurate weather on our flights! Enrique Vaamonde
