Had no complaints about MSFS since i got it few months ago, 200 hours on it in steam 100 hours flying.

Was perfect IMO as of last night.

Now SU7, frame timing issues and stutters.

I am gutted simply.

Also planes have shimmering and bad AA. All settings in graphics same as yesterday.

I am on DX11 but judging by some comments feels like it is on DX12. But it isn't.

I adore this game, i just don't understand why it looks worse now and performance is stuttering and not smooth....

Update was smooth and quick, I did have a comment in the top blue box in game saying to restart as something hadn't downloaded though but its gone now.

It's in the camera setting window, within your flight.

Including the UK. I once had a boss who constantly tried to get us to price items in our shops at 'sale' prices even though we hadn't sold them at any branch for the previous price for the past 28 days. Illegal. We kept telling him but eventually Trading Standards paid a visit. Didn't stop him trying to get us to continue the practice, but it was easier to flat out refuse after that visit!

MS might be getting round that by trading under US law (if that practice is permissible there), but I'm not sure how that would stand up in court.

Appreciate this nugget. Ridiculous of course. I’ll check it out later. I did go into the camera menu where TrackIR was toggled off, but I was unable to turn it on there. It would instantly revert back to off.

As far as I can see, 16GB is the additional disk space the update will take up once the download has installed. 33GB-ish is the download size, replacing existing files and adding extra, hence the additional total installed size of 16GB.

At Lugano (LSZA) in the Porter

I'm struggling to maintain 40fps in the Porter with DX12 - and with consistent frame times (lots of stutters) and GPU held back at about 55%.

Switch to DX11 and I'm back to 50+ FPS with GPU at or near 100% and buttery smooth frames.

back to DX11 then and I'm ok with that - its a Beta and its all about the long game here.

yep in settings menu near the top - restart required.

Flightbeam has some on sale airports in the Marketplace, not sure if they were there before today....

In the the german version, there is no "Track IR" option. For whatever reason, they called it (translated) "follow IR"

In the controls. You can assign it as a key. It is named "toggle head tracking".

The 'assistance' screen of the Options section (escape key) shows everything is reset: unlimited fuel, automatic landing, automatic elevation trim, etc. etc. It sure is easier to fly 'we don't need no stinkin' fuel'!
