The mandatory part I understand, but there should be checkboxes for optional content such as addon liveries or airports. I am with you here. As I suspected beforehand I had to download aircraft and airports I am not interested in, probably busting my bandwidth cap for the month in the process. A mandatory 25.45 GB download for not much value for me doesn't make sense. DX12 is putting much more load on the GPU now so you're not mainthread limited, but it needs a lot of optimizing.

How come it shows 27.85GB/33.37GB downloading for me then? I thought the 16.06GB was something else. Or is 16GB the actual download size and once uncompressed it's 33GB? November 18, 20214 yr Almost finished downloading, the 3 improvements I'm most happy looking forward to: 1 Allow inputs to be mapped on key/button release 2 Fixed a crash that could occur when flying near cities with a lot of autogen buildings 3 DEV MODE: Improved teleport window Especially number 1. Push down a key or button and something happens and when released something completely different happens (instead of just stop doing the first thing). We had this in CH Control Manager 20 years ago! Teleport window usually worked before but sometimes messed up royally (change location without going back to the main menu). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. November 18, 20214 yr TrackIR does work, but it gets toggled off if it loses "contact". There is a toggle head tracking key to be assigned which turns it back on. Annoying but well so it is.... For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
November 18, 20214 yr My download stuck at 91 percent downloading fs-base-soundbanks-0.1.47.fspatch. it downloaded this file to 100 percent. Then the counter reset to 90 percent and the download restarted again, and again, and again. after an hour of this tango, I gave up - had to use Task Manager to bail out of the update as there was no other option. I see problems ahead.. An Update ... Rebooting computer, run SFC /Scannow - no errors - relaunch Steam, Start MSFS - resumed at stuck download. This time no problem - cruised through. So I have no idea what was happening there!? Edited November 18, 20214 yr by ray hughes Updated
November 18, 20214 yr The Volocopter seems.... underwhelming. Or maybe I'm just missing some tricks on how to fly it? Tried DX12, no crashes but inconsistent framerate and lots of stuttering so back to DX11 The sim reset my assistance options all to easy twice already but it looks like third time is the charm now. Off to try the Porter. Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.
