I am aware that it is not in the patch notes, but they advertised their wonderful weather update being in SU7... Great to have a weather update with a totally wrong snow coverage basically rendering the best possible weather depiction and simulation totally useless because of the total loss of immersion. And now you are telling me that weather and snow coverage is not related, well then I have to say that some people over at Asobo did obviously not get the simplest things in meteorology. But even if, I ask again: what could possibly be so difficult in fixing this, if even their f* gold partner meteoblue does not show snow coverage on their live snow coverage maps?

So far, after an hour of playing around with the Hornet I'm having plenty of fun, although the bird is very rudimentary system-wise. METAR at KTEX was accurate.

Some issues: Assists & HUDs in chase cams etc. had to be turned off again. Mouse pan in World Map is not working as reported elsewhere, and most notably I was not yet able to buy the Reno expansion as the purchase wouldn't go through. But so far nothing major that can't/won't be fixed.

Next I'll get back to WT and FBW.

lol .. I know i myself was like this when the sim was released post SU2 but apart from the Track IR people who have truly had their day spoilt by this update We are going to have a tantrum over snow coverage in one geographical spot ? 

Ok set up your issue on the MSFS forums for everyone to vote its importance up.

I'm curious to see how quickly it gets voted up.

I agree that the snow coverage is really annoying and can be immersion-breaking, but everything else is so so good. My guess is that it'll slowly get better as they keep tweaking the weather system, maybe without official patches (server side data etc).

Well, if you would be aware of this issue, you might have noticed that already quiet some reports exist and it seems to be a world wide issue. And if this one single spot happens to be your home region and even covered by a WU, it is annoying. But sure, I understand that you invest thousands of hours of manpower into a worldupdate of a region that is bugged by snow coverage when using live weather instead of finally fixing this little issue... NOT. 

Is the Reno Air Race free with the GOTY edition or is it a separate paid DLC? I'm confused. I thought the planes were paid DLC and that the Reno Expansion is part of the GOTY.

Go for a walk or something. The anger you’re having over snow being wrong is kinda silly. This is a work in progress and A LOT of other features have been implemented and bugs killed. I can’t imagine being this peeved over incorrect snow/weather when what we have with MSFS is so far and above anything we’ve ever had.

Nah ,,, Im going flying .. If it was that important i would have seen This issue on the To do list. If you are that triggered by something as relatively minor as this then oh well ... enjoy the wait for it to get fixed. 

Additionally if you are dragging up threads from last year and still cant break 200 votes out of the userbase then clearly this isn't a must fix issue right now.

 

Probably when they get around to properly doing the seasons.

I had a good time with SU7 this evening. Install went smooth and I was up in the air in one hour.
Tried all the new planes and that Hornet is indeed nice to fly without concerning about systems etc.
Ok, one thing: some VC textures on the side of the PC-6 are low resolution.
I'm very glad that Asobo recognized the color banding and know how to fix it. I'm looking forward to the release of that fix.
