Do not use it? That kinda defeats the purpose of it being selectable…. It might not be bad for everyone. I’ll test it on a 3090 soon.

I was disappointed on 3080

Just tried DX12 but I got many more stutters.  Weather looks good and the aircraft seemed more 'alive' on final.

I just tried it as well. It halved my frame rate to 34-40 over New York but it was a stuttering mess that looked more like 2 FPS. Unusable on a 6900XT.

No drama though. It's not exactly ugly on DX11 is it?

Oh man that works!!

FIX - reset your mouse control to the default profile
controls → preset manager → mouse → reset to defaults

Ah thanks, I always forget that they always mess up the mouse settings. No big deal, though.

just downloading now but my custom mouse controls have been defined so middle mouse doesn't scroll the screen unless I right click.  This is to prevent zooming in on accident when adjusting knobs and dials.  Don't fancy going back to default profile!

Didn't want to hear that looking at your graphics card but oh well .. as long as DX11 is problem free i cant complain .. the sim these last couple of weeks has been sublime for me performance wise with the one minor exception of the sun/shadow related lag in the cockpit on the ground which is more a very minor annoyance for me than anything else .. . I hope this update didnt bork the performance up.

First impression? They have again NOT FIXED the tremendously wrong snow coverage as it seems (screenshot taken around Meiringen in Switzerland, Lake of Brienz covered almost totally with ice). Seriously, I do not get what the f* can be so difficult to properly implement the snow coverage of their partner meteoblue, which itself does NOT show any snow currently around Meiringen. Simply don't get it, really. Again some weeks without flying in real weather in the Swiss Alps due to huge inability of getting things right by Asobo, geez am I p* right now...

Not even mentioning the fact that obviously this console kiddie stuff shown in the external view cant be turned off via menue anymore (or I do not find the setting). Why is every update in some parts always such a huge disappointment? I simply dont get it...

It's in the assistance menu now.

Anyone tried the new G-force effects yet? (they have to be manually turned on in accessibility settings screen, next to disable logbook popup)

@MaxisI assume you are talking about that infuriating micro-pause whenever you look in a certain direction related to the sun? This is driving absolutely nuts. It's my first week back in flight sim for about 6 years after finally managing to get hold of a graphics card to complete my build and the very first thing I noticed when I started it up with TrackIR was that micro-pause. But now they have given me a new Track IR frustration to worry about because every time I pause TrackIR the sim decides I want to disable headtracking. Trouble is when I unpause TrackIR it isn't bright enough to know I want to use it again forcing me to turn on head tracking manually either in cam controls or by assigning another key to that function. Ridiculous. 😂

They never mentioned anything about snow coverage in this update. I don't know what made you think it was going to change lol
