Asobo acknowledged the issues and spoke

To clarify: The specific issue here that Asobo has acknowledged is that cloud heights in METARs are wrongly being interpreted as MSL instead of AGL. At higher-elevation airports, this has the effect of showing the clouds at a lower altitude than they should be.

The problem is, I'm not just seeing this at "higher-elevation airports."  I've also seen it at KRNT (approximate field elevation of 32'), where you wind up in impenetrable haze even with 10SM visibility.

Fully agree.  What I experienced last week at KDAL had nothing to do with cloud layers.  Weather should have been clear and 10.  It was clear above and less than 3.  Cannot be due to a cloud layer if no cloud layer is present.  For at least 200 NM.

Clearly (pun very much intended) there is more than one issue.....

Here was Dallas Love field at three miles out when report was clear and 10, and 60% RH.

Yeah, looks like multiple issues occurring.  I was flying in Washington State, US yesterday and left KEUG north to a small airport.  On the way a fog layer was drawn below/around me within a second.  I flew over it and then I noticed it suddenly disappeared after I flew past he edge.  As I got closer to the destination strip another fog layer appeared below almost instantly.  I could see about 250 feet as I descended down to land.  Could be misinterpreted data or something but who knows.  I'm patiently waiting for a hotfix.

Concerning the VR issue, it's a strange one.  Instrument View 10 is the only view I've found that allows using the toolbar (ctrl-0) was mapped to it.  In the caravan it turns the view to the right so not to bad to right click the mouse and move the view to the front.  In the Milviz this view takes you to the outside right looking at he airplane, so not so easy to fix from a user stand point.  So again, waiting for a hotfix.

There are some positives to this update so I try to be optimistic, and they've been fairly quick with hotfixes in the past so fingers crossed.

hahaha you are true. But, fortunately I was born in an environment of elegance and honesty. My parents have taught me at all times to call things by their name, despite the discomfort they might cause. When something is unfair, it must be said until there is a change. Happily, afterwards everyone will enjoy the result, even if there are always people among them who have not supported you. Thanks to complaints, companies evolve.

but yes, airtrafficsucks. my furstration is your hope for better traffic in your future. 🙂

Hello everyone, no one is ignored. The team is aware of the situation (as stated by the official tag). As soon as we can share more information, details, or any kind of communication, we’ll do.

The fact that this message is buried somewhere in the official forums (I can’t find it) just goes to show you how poor the media/announcements really are.
How hard would it have been to 1.) make this much more visible and 2.) say it around 7-10 days ago?

Anyone know if these issues are also being experienced in the xBox version?

I'm a little concerned (only a little though) that Asobo will "fix it too much", in other words, we'll go back to unrealistic screenshots of 50+ mile low altitude visibility in humid climates, like we saw for the first year with this sim.

One thing about it, Asobo are new to wx depiction, whereas I am thoroughly spoiled by the wx depiction experience of HiFi.

Some folks are just full of themselves here and in reality they have no "Rank" as far as progression. Just a bunch of chest thumping and looking rather silly doing so.

That sounds ominous.  Does "having to wait" mean "until we can put out a quick hotfix," or "until we issue SU8 next February"...?

The latter.. 😉
