Asobo acknowledged the issues and spoke

To be fair, they did acknowledge this on the day of release as a known issue so I'm assuming this may be included in any hot fix.  I believe it was in the release notes.

Maybe that is their new protocol,  announce all the bugs that will be in an SU, then when people complain , they can say " It was in the release notes"....

Really? Several things were broken with this release. Out of most people on this forum, I continually notice you to make the most insulting comments. It's obnoxious.

Dominique's post...  IT. WAS. SARCASM.  (bloody obvious sarcasm at that, but I am British so I'm fluent in it 😉 )

Sorry for the all caps but it seems it may be the only way for it to sink in for some people.

I'd say the other way around. This sim remains a brilliant experience, punctuated by moments of sheer frustration  😉 !

I'm not sure if your mis understanding or you got the wrong person. First of all. His approach usually never involves insulting someone on this forum. And above all He has very much a history of advocating for the Developer and the Publisher to improve their project management, communications and QA.

I have not seen a post where he is complaining about the "complainers"..

Unless of course the post intentions are firmly tongue in cheek and in jest.

To be fair, they do say opinions are like word not alloweds. Everyone's got one! 😆

I look forward to a time when I can enjoy it as much as everyone else. But in the meantime, can the 'defenders of the faith' please stop criticising for anyone who points out the bits where it falls short. It's called feedback and can be cathartic!

Irony...

Those who accuse us to be entitled kids should thank us instead, because without the noise we are making on the forums nothing would move. That's why I say "keep reporting", we have the right to have the issues fixed.

there is a whole lot of different form reporting issues or acting entitled.

and oh sure yes, some people here do tend to act rather entitled.

The VR mouse issue should be a stupidly easy fix, since the current workaround (pressing CTL-0) is very simple in itself.

I am not convinced the excessive low level "smog" at many airports is simply a misinterpretation of MSL vs AGL.  If it is, this would presumably be an easy fix as well, but I suspect it is a more complex issue (related to the new weather engine), and may take some time to fix.  The haze/smog problem has caused me to do most of my flights after dark now, where it seems the problem becomes less prevalent (or at least less noticeable)

Really, I don't understand what they mean. This sim is working perfectly after SU7, anybody who is not an entitled kid on this forum will tell you that.  The weather is specially better.

Hmnm, then I must be missing something. TRir doesn't work at all. Nada, simply dead.

Frankly, you are smoking something,  Cut it out as you are likely causing this haze issue!

Glad you are happy.  Many are not, me included!  Here is the visibility during my approach at KBMG today.  This is not the 10 SM visibility reported all day.  In this shot I am 4 NM out and have no sight of the airport.  Argue with that all you want!

I still believe there are regional issues taking place here, contributing to arguments.  When you address this issue, pro or con, please, please, please mention where you had either the positive or negative experience.  Otherwise a post is logically meaningless.

Looking at the other thread it seems you yourself were the one who introduced the idea of children into the discussion. Others talked about entitlement and I certainly said suggesting holding updates back until you and your group (or me and my group) is satisfied could come across as entitlement, and true to form others joined to say ‘see! we are being called entitled children’.

Anyway I’ll let you get back to congratulating yourself for hounding the community manager (not Asobo) into just repeating what they said a few days ago; ‘yes, the teams are aware of the problems and working on fixes’. Hopefully at least we’ll get a few days’ rest from cliches about ‘deafening silence’ or ‘silence speaking volumes’…

To clarify this is NO COMMENT on whether the weather bugs, or VR bugs or whatever are important or not or whether complaints are justified (I fully agree they are in many cases). I just think the way these frustrations are expressed is often…well, a bit over the top.

When a fix is server side, the sim doesn’t require any update from players and might be faster to deploy. Some fixes may require pushing code and, in that case, this may result in having to wait for an update.

That sounds ominous.  Does "having to wait" mean "until we can put out a quick hotfix," or "until we issue SU8 next February"...?
