So it was not as broke before SU7, clouds at ground level and horrible haze in reported clear weather.  So why not roll the weather back to before that point until they figure it out?

No. Absolutely not. If they do so I'll have to put the sim on the shelf. The new weather implementation has given me the best flights I've had since the sim launched. The new weather just needs to be tweaked and that list is not very long. It would be foolish of them to roll it back when we can just test is and give them the feedback they need. Feedback they have already responded to, btw.

live weather. altitude 2500 ft   temp 269 C

Fixed or partly fixed?  Not where I fly.  Noticed this today for the first time at that alt.

I have not seen high temps in the beta.

They've really dropped the ball on SU7 and this "Patch" (its long gone being a Hotfix), game breaking bugs persist, the weather is screwed, the public beta is a shambles with very little communication on its process or updates and we're nearly 4 weeks on.

Wouldn't be surprised if they bin it off for until SU8 at this rate as they're clearly struggling with this, perhaps they're already on holiday!

Not saying I want a rushed patch, but they should've directed a Hotfix towards the game breaking issues first and then concentrated on other urgent fixes thereafter. Other Devs are capable of this, why not the mighty MS and Asobo!? 16/17 months since release, nothings changed for the better.

/Rant

Pay no attention to the above. I don't know what this rant is about but I can tell you the situation in the beta does not match what he said. Just someone bent on trying to make MS/Asobo look bad at every turn.

The beta is looking very good.  I guess some people need to rant regardless what the situation is.

I'm on the open Beta and I had sadly to second that the weather seems still broken and the problem of depiction seems to be much deeper.... for myself I found a work around modifying floyds epic clouds theme and adapt them to real depiction (stratus, cumulus, etc.) but you always will have standard pressure.

The weather in an open BETA is still broken?  Perhaps I misunderstand what a beta is?

They don't want to install the beta (600 MB, absolutely harmless) but they ask Asobo to release it as final, still with bugs.

Your right. my mistake   but this morning in 1.21.13 at 2500 ft, twice, now normal again at low altitude.

beta   .18 has been rock solid and the clouds look good and looks like they fixed the low clouds at airports as well. problem is they keep tweeking stuff and break stuff that was working before and devs cant keep up.

I’d tend to agree. I’m currently testing the public beta, and whilst I agree there are issues still to be fixed, in general I’ve rarely had such a good time with the sim. No CTDs for me unless I enable a dodgy mod. Skies and graphics look as good as they ever have. No clouds on the ground and sometimes quite accurate weather. As others have said, still much work to be done with weather (many of us went through a similar curve with P3D and Active Sky) so that won’t get fixed overnight. But overall I am pretty happy for now.

The meaning is that ASOBO is aware but it's not fixed by now. I simple posted a workaround for a nice weather theme and not to be misunderstood.

I wouldn't call it "broken", just not perfect (and probably it will never be).

I really think we should question our expectations sometimes.

I have still seconded that it's not fixed at all 😉 a lot has already  improved. Today morning I climbed out at Linate and the fog (like the same in webcams) was pretty real - so maybe they fixed something on the serverside behind the scenes.

No, just no.

Seems like most things have been reported to be fixed except live weather. How is  that a "shambles"??

On the contrary, I'd say that for the first time in the history of VG the beta is better than the GOTY.

Mouse in VR still not fixed for one, the game breaking bug that should've been fixed by now.

TrackIR big was fixed ages ago, why no Hotfix for folk that use that?!

Fact is SU7 should never of shipped on the state that it did, bit we all saw how that played out eh!
