December 13, 20214 yr I've seen people wanting to know if the current state is what Asobo thinks is ok, but to ease some concerns: Quote The Weather feature is a complex system and we are working to solve the issues introduced in 1.21.13.0. Your feedback on the weather system thus far has been helpful for our team while they investigate these issues. The team is well aware of issues impacting the Weather feature and currently working on it. While some situations tend to mix and create some confusion among the community, here are current cases that we plan on improving further: Clouds still at ground level Overcast clouds not being well displayed Transition in Weather changes still not smooth Weather sometime takes time to download Thank you for your continuous feedback to help improve this feature. December 14, 20214 yr So it was not as broke before SU7, clouds at ground level and horrible haze in reported clear weather. So why not roll the weather back to before that point until they figure it out? So why not roll the weather back to before that point until they figure it out? The “horrible haze” almost everywhere is definitely gone in the beta, but the ability to set reduced visibility (when appropriate) is still there, which is a positive. I personally have not seen clouds on the ground since moving to the beta. Sometimes the METAR clouds look very good - other times not so good. The biggest problems are an inability to set true overcast more often than not, and overdeveloped cumulus clouds in places where stratus would be more appropriate. December 14, 20214 yr 1) Haze has improved. 2) Clouds at ground level has improved but still needs work 3) Live Weather sometimes takes about 30 seconds to load
December 14, 20214 yr My Live Weather not works in any place of the world. I wait 10/15/20 minutes, and no change of weather… always clear skies and small clouds.

December 14, 20214 yr They've really dropped the ball on SU7 and this "Patch" (its long gone being a Hotfix), game breaking bugs persist, the weather is screwed, the public beta is a shambles with very little communication on its process or updates and we're nearly 4 weeks on. Wouldn't be surprised if they bin it off for until SU8 at this rate as they're clearly struggling with this, perhaps they're already on holiday! Not saying I want a rushed patch, but they should've directed a Hotfix towards the game breaking issues first and then concentrated on other urgent fixes thereafter. Other Devs are capable of this, why not the mighty MS and Asobo!? 16/17 months since release, nothings changed for the better. /Rant Edited December 14, 20214 yr by MarcG Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

I do not wish they release the patch while these issues are still not taken care of. Weather is central in a sim and in this sim in particular. They must take their time, Christmas or no Christmas. December 14, 20214 yr I'm on the open Beta and I had sadly to second that the weather seems still broken and the problem of depiction seems to be much deeper.... for myself I found a work around modifying floyds epic clouds theme and adapt them to real depiction (stratus, cumulus, etc.) but you always will have standard pressure. Regards Michael

I wouldn't call it "broken", just not perfect (and probably it will never be). I don't know what this rant is about but I can tell you the situation in the beta does not match what he said.
