They really need reconsider the whole NXi thing. Why would they not focus on the superior one?

Because, according to Working Title's own website, it is still in "early access beta" . Therefore it is still subject to changes, which may require changes to the Kodiak. When it is out of beta and complete, I'm sure the situation will change. 

Well, I just went to buy through the Simworks website and once it had finished with paypal, it took me back to the site and took my money but didn't seem to register that I'd actually bought it.

Stuck here with no products in my account.

Nevermind, the payment soon reversed and it allowed me to complete on the second try.

Would love to try this but on my old system not so sure...

I wish there were trial versions of payware planes for MSFS. They could design it so that after 10 minutes the entire panel vanishes, the controls freeze, external model is crippled (the wings and wheels vanish) the engine just quits and you're back in the MSFS loading screen.

I have followed this pilot on YouTube for a while.  His videos flying the Kodiak into small fields are legend.  When I looked at this teaser video I was so pleased to see it was him giving the course!

Buying this course is a no brainer for me, his explanations are so comprehensive but easy to follow in his 180 YouTube videos.

$49 for an online course to fly a single engine GA aircraft. .. Got to be kidding. 

Two questions:

- has anyone been able to have ATC use the call sign you choose in this aircraft?  It seems like N292KQ is hard coded in it so far.

- Has anyone been able to satisfactorily calibrate a TQ6 or other throttle with a reverser detent to manipulate the fuel condition?  Using FSUIPC I can’t seem to find a calibration that will put the lever into low idle just above the detent on my throttle.

I use the Mixture -100% to 100% for the condition lever and it works well.  I haven't used FSUIPC in a while on MSFS so binded through MSFS controls.  I am not using the reverse detent buttons for anything on my setup.

So, this supposedly study level turboprop that you can a buy a 50 bucks youtube video for cannot guarantee support for the most advanced avionics package available for MSFS.....Got it.

WT nxi is pretty good. To the scope what would you actually use IRL it's in good shape!

Whats wrong with the NXi in this plane? It works as in other planes.

They have expressed that they could have written certain additional features as a workaround to the hot start and elevator trim indicator, but as the NXi is still a work in progress (beta) with constant updates they have chosen not to do this until and if required when the NXi becomes the standard in the sim. But the Beta NXi currently works just the same as in other uses.

The legalise in the manual just confirms they have programmed to guarantee this works with the current G1000 as this is the sim standard.

This guarantee cannot be extended to a BETA avionics system which is still going through ongoing updates and testing.

Now, that's quite a difference! 

Not ideal but if you pop the fuse for the standy instrument, your frames will come back.

Obviously a personal choice, but for the cost of a restaurant meal it seems excellent value to me.

A BETA advanced avionics package - a package that will go through an unknown number of changes in an unknown timeframe.  I would imagine they will release updates for the NXi, but they can't guarantee to keep exact pace with its development.
