Tell me about it. The ex couldn't stand my flight simming, or my boat. The ones I'm dating love the boat, can deal with the flight simming, but give me the deer in the headlights look when I ask for a Chorico sandwich and since pickled onions.

I had a 150,000$ dragrace car and could not afford it after 2 weeks and sold it and worked on a Top Fuel Dragster. Think my petty GF cares about that. Welcome to real life or reality.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Do we know if the Fenix will have Vnav and RNAV capabilities out of the box?

I feel like I'm going to hit a button and it's gonna stick "on" instead of depressing. Or I'll have to hit a button extra hard and long to get it to register as pressed.

Finally sim pilots will know the agony.

If you zoom in on this one you can see the individual pixels making up the characters on the relatively low-res MCDU screen.

That's detail to an almost unreasonable level.

Its only unreasonable if FPS suffers.  If not.... its glorious!

Looking at their website, I didn't see any other products. Is this their first one? If so, thats quite impressive. Those shots my jaw drop to the floor.

I think as a company, yes its their first, but I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that many on the team have done other flight sim products before.

If you have a CPU with integrated GPU, the Fenix have this cool feature that allows you to use this GPU to run the displays in the cockpit and then use your main GPU to draw the rest of the sim world. Pretty neat.

Does the I7 10700K have an integrated GPU ?

Can't wait to see how that works. I'm on a 8700K

As far as I’m aware, yes it does. Only the ‘F’ variants don’t have integrated graphics.

Looks like Fenix is setting new standards. If PMDG delivers the same as the DC-6 texture-wise for the 737 than good bye PMDG as the leading developer for high quality aircraft on the premise that Fenix really delivers an aircraft that not only looks superb else has the in deepth-systems that it promises.
