February 23, 20224 yr I just loaded up the aircraft and heard the announcements for the first time, Absolutely love them. This bird just keeps getting better and better thanks to the tireless hard work of the development team. I take my hat off to all of you ! February 23, 20224 yr FBW's A32NX proved to be so real and professional thanks to the dedication and passion of this team, I believe it will be difficult for others to overcome them over time. Two big advantages, we have assisted learning in the course of innovations and improvements, and for free. Congratulations again to FBW.

February 23, 20224 yr Thank you FBW, the constant improvements are very appreciated! Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
February 23, 20224 yr The guys working at FBW are Saints. You should see the patience they have with dealing with questions and quickly answering them on Discord. We truly(The MSFS community) are lucky to have them. I truly appreciate what they do. What an Outstanding TEAM! God bless them all!

This is done when changes are integrated onto either dev or exp, and makes sure the work in those prototype branches contains all the recent work done elsewhere. It does not mean VNAV is available or about to be released. It's just a sign of us working hard on it 😉 Developer - FlyByWire Simulations
February 24, 20224 yr Yup, love this bird so much I donated some money to the cause. \Robert Hamlich/
February 24, 20224 yr Yes, these guys are fantastic. I was one who really pushed for the sounds. I have to say I am a bit disappointed but I do assume this is just a start. I did check the settings on the tablet and I was able to hear some minor boarding noise, very very quite. I really had to crank the volumes up to hear any (I think it was just clicking like the roller bags over the threshold), and much was drowned out by the boarding music. In my years of flying in the US I don't think I recall hearing boarding music. Also, no cabin crew announcements (safety brief, seat belt signs off, ect) or calls, only the pilot with the welcome talk. No sounds at all during the flight except for captain again (which is good). Still in mid flight, will have to hear the sequence during descent, landing and gate. Overall, this is a great start, I really hope it continues. added: Ok, just completed the flight and I have to say there is definitely something wrong here. The only thing that I heard clearly was the pilot. I could only just make out the boarding music if I boosted headset volume way up (could only do that for a few moments due to the flightdeck fan noise. I am not hearing any other pax sounds of any type. Headset sound settings are 2 channel, 16 bit, 48000 dvd quality, no special effects. No other sound issues anywhere. I have fully reinstalled the fbw plane experimental. I can see the new settings in the sound.xml so that is good. I have also searched their discord channels. I would love to see a video that shows how this sounds when working properly because it simply is not for me. Really bummed about this as I was so looking forward to this. We use spatial audio, that is highly customised for immersion. Not all the announcements would sound the same in all stations of the aircraft. Try this: Go to camera options->Showcase mode-> scroll down to the Fixed Cameras and check each camera view (the ones after Camera 12 should have cabin views). You'll see the difference between the same sound in the cockpit and the cabin. Another tip is to check if the cockpit door is open, if it's not, most of the sounds would be "muffled" to give a behind-the-door effect. Developer - FlyByWire Simulations

February 24, 20224 yr What i find simply stunning is the rate of progress and dedication by all at FBW to provide for free an aircraft that is getting very close to leading the way in this sim. Some of the details we are now seeing being developed are fantastic for a free ware mod,and where some payware devs complain that they simply cannot do at the moment, FBW are showing it is possible. i am also impressed in the organisation and professionalism of the whole team. I wonder how much you can actually hear in real life while sitting in the cockpit. I do know a lot of developers exaggerate the volume of some sounds because people expect to hear everything in the cockpit even though you won't hear some sounds in real life. I do suppose FWB is going for realism here. (Haven't tried the update myself yet: that'll have to wait until coming weekend.)
February 24, 20224 yr This plane is actually one feature away from being the best Airbus simulation (apart from failures) ever, on ANY platform, and I say this fully aware of the FSLabs etc on other platforms. Once VNAV is complete we will have (for free!) the best and most detailed Airbus ever made (and until PMDG or Fenix are released for MSFS possibly the most detailed aircraft in general). They have gone to extreme lengths simulating things you won't even notice, such as the air conditioning performance depending on outside conditions (fuselage temperature, air temperature etc). And obviously, when they did the sounds, they didn't just put them in and call it a day. You have to have the door open from the cockpit to hear them as they are simulating what it would sound like from the cockpit, or even better go to one of the cameras in the cabin where you can hear what the passengers would hear. That's for the guy above complaining he didn't hear any sounds... Luckily attitudes like that are few and far between so FBW are aware how much they are loved in the community. You guys are literally leading the MSFS world right now and regardless of what payware comes out in the next few months, I know you will always lead the way when the project is complete and we will always be grateful (and MS should be too!) for keeping the sim relevant for all of us flying airliners since the release.
