Just Flight Bae 146 update

Featured Replies

Not sure if this was shared, Flying Fabio did a "focus flight" a couple of days ago with the Bae 146 from Singapore to Ko Samui on VATSIM ... good thing is it's all focused on the flight and no interactions with the twitch audience per usual streams: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1449866904?t=00h05m10s

Nice. I watched the whole thing, and rewarded with a new freeware scenery.

Any idea when the FMS presentation video will be out?

Often noise-related nicknames don't refer to external sound. The 727 was one of the loudest airplanes around, to the point where now even ones retrofitted with hush kits are banned from some airports. But it was called the whisperjet because with the engines all the way in the back, the cabin was nice and quiet.

Agreed. This features implementation is crucial to see if I purchase or not.

Probably next week now.  Bonus if it happens before but looking unlikely just now.

New tutorial video tomorrow covering covering Take-Off and Climb.  It's a really good one too.

Here's that next tutorial video covering Takeoff and Climb.  Look out for the nattty diagrams and instruction around the 3 mins 40 second time covering the actual climb procedure.  Actually should be very helpful. Enjoy the video and remember all of these tutorial videos will be part of the 146 Professional Playlist as hosted on our YT channel.

Final tutorial in this series.  This one shows Descent, Landing and Shutdown.  More video to follow prior to release to demo other features and systems within the 146.  Enjoy and here's to a Happy Easter to you all...

Pic shows why I'm excited about it. One time on this forum I wrote 'my beloved YAK18'. It really is just a simplistic mediocre sim of a fast flying boxcar but it had those long flaps that dropped it down like stone from high speeds onto short runways. Like all those many Swiss mountain valley airports.

So here with the BAE, they mention London City AP and the unpaved gold mining strips in Western Australia. High speed steep descents. So Justflight says, made possible by a "sophisticated ground approach warning system special steep approach functionality".

Any news about the FMS video?

Not sure if this has been posted in another thread but noticed this PDF was uploaded yesterday:

A slightly differnet kind of Development Update for you this time - As we're sure you're aware by now our 146 Professional for MSFS has been massively improved over the original P3D & X-Plane versions.  To help you get a handle on what's new and improved here's a handy little guide that lists everything that's new.  You can download and read the document via this link.  Enjoy!

That's a substantial list of new/improved functionality over the P3D and X-Plane versions of the aircraft!, Some that stand out to me:

  • All aircraft systems (electrical, fuel, hydraulic, TMS etc.) have undergone upgrades which bring them as close as possible to the real-world FCOMs, with hundreds of changes
  • Many improvements to MWS and annunciator realism and logic, including the addition of ‘Bright-up’ functionality
  • Extensive upgrades to the flight dynamics for more realistic flight behaviour, CG changes with fuel/payload, autopilot performance and much more, all with direct input from a real-world 146/RJ pilot
  • Extensive upgrades to the autopilot and flight director system, including pitch and roll hold performance, SYNC mode logic and IAS/MACH hold accuracy
  • DME hold functionality added to VHF NAV 1
  • Improved TCAS logic (as displayed on TCAS VSI)
  • Hydraulic system pressures and accumulators now simulated more realistically, including gradual pressure loss of braking system when parked, and improved AC/DC pump and PTU logic

Exciting times for sure in MSFS with all these high fidelity aircraft coming our way!

Anyone knows why BAE on the throttle, made the 1 bold then 2,3,4 regular and why did they use comic sans mc for the font?

LOL. Those numbers look hand-carved.

Based on a google image search, JF is using the wrong font. That 4 is nothing like the real ones I’ve found online.
