April 23, 20224 yr New dev update on their site at https://www.justflight.com/in-development/146-professional-microsoft-flight-simulator?fbclid=IwAR0gWQJr1AwIKs3HHze99atPfB4y1kh9YvPI0koZUZbjtXxjWelPeJL6ZXw#entry20220423 Vote to fix transparent sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/
April 23, 20224 yr The FMS is based off of the working title FMS, which is good news. It doesn’t appear as though the 2 FMS’s are independent though based on the screenshots provided. EDIT: it’s unclear to me whether the FMS is “based on” the WT FMS or is the same as the WT FMS. If it’s just the same, in other words not custom, then that would be a disappointment. I am not sure how close it is from the real thing, but with the WT FMS, we will get a lot of good option and simbrief integration EFB UI seems to be improved as well

Maybe the 146 they used for cockpit texture was restored by the same woman that did a paint restoration in Spain a couple of years ago Edited April 23, 20224 yr by bendead
April 23, 20224 yr 🤣 the cockpit textures, especially the text do seem to be blurry, unfortunately. Would be great if they could upgrade this to the newer msfs 2020 decal tech to get crisp and clear text.
April 23, 20224 yr The pictures suggest it is the WT FMS as one of them shows the “WT MOD SETTINGS” page, fine by me it’s an excellent bit of kit.
April 23, 20224 yr More about the WT FMC from a Facebook comment: Quote What you see is what it will ship with. As the 146 was originally launched with only the means for conventional (VOR/NDB) navigation, and later retrofitted with a variety of GPS/FMS units for greater flexibility. Our 146 will release with an FMS that is based on the popular WT unit, modified for suitability with the 146 avionics and autopilot, providing full LNAV functionality, SID/STARs, MSFS and SimBrief flight plan support etc. As with all our MSFS aircraft, we will continue to introduce new features over time, including different FMS/GPS units such as the commonly fitted UNS-1 and even the GTN 750 (as fitted to some current firefighting 146 aircraft), providing you with even greater customisability of your aircraft. April 23, 20224 yr Also really looking forward to this release.Good to see the FMC intrigration as well.. AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive
April 24, 20224 yr I need to buy either the BAE or the 737, and then laugh and throw stones at whoever bought the other inferior plane. But I can't make up mind which to buy? 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
April 24, 20224 yr I think they are different enough for many to get both, and in my opinion they are not comparable. But for me it is the BAE only. I never do very long flights and the 737 will be very modern with a full glass cockpit as far as I know. The BAE has a bit of a vintage feel to me, which I like in the planes I fly and it seems to be more fitting to the shorter flights I usually do. IF I ever do a longer flight, I have the FBW A320 which is complex enough for something I might only do once or twice a year and the price is unbeatable. I think both planes are different enough that they will have their own target audience and some people will get both. Personally I would think about thoroughly what I really enjoy more and get the plane that fits my style rather than grabbing the first one that gets released. And IF you want to get the first one released, I would advise to get the first one released as a complete product, but that is of course just my opinion 😉

Like mentioned by other users I think they are in two different categories, I'll be getting both, I would never do that to myself and limit myself to either the BAE or 737 😂 Both great aircraft.
April 27, 20224 yr Do we have any info from JustFlight regarding the release date? As far as I know the latest update is from mid april still targeting releasing aircraft by the end of April (4 days from now)?
