TWITCH UPDATE

We stream weekly on Twitch.tv/MSFSOfficial! For many of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere where it’s currently winter, we yearn to get away to somewhere warm and tropical. Join our community fly-in this week as we island-hop across sunny Hawaii! En route, we’ll visit landmarks including the historic Dole Pineapple Plantation on O’ahu, Honolulu’s famous Waikiki Beach, Molokini (a partially submerged volcanic crater off the coast of Maui) and the Palapala Ho’omau Church, the final resting place of legendary aviator Charles Lindbergh. Our final destination is the town of Kona on the Big Island. All are welcome to participate! Click here for details.

COMMUNITY VIDEO

Last week was very busy for the Microsoft Flight Simulator community! In addition to Sim Update VIII and Famous Flyer I: Beechcraft Model 17 Staggerwing both launching, the team also announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available on devices such as low-spec computers, smartphones, tablets, and last-gen Xbox One consoles via Xbox Cloud Gaming Services. For both new players who don’t own an Xbox Series X|S or a gaming PC capable of running Microsoft Flight Simulator and for current simmers who want to fly on their smartphone during their morning train ride to work, Xbox Cloud Gaming Services opens up many new ways to enjoy Microsoft Flight Simulator. YouTuber ObsidianAnt recently posted a video of MSFS running on his Samsung S21 Android phone and discussed his impressions of the sim experience when played from the cloud. You can hear his thoughts in the video below.

Oh look yet another 1930s German plane. (Whoops make that Dutch)

I was thinking a nice cheap J3 Cub would be OK but that's by the same Dev as the first Kitfox and the King Air C90 so I think I'll give that a miss even at $10

There has tended to be a bit of a theme, hasn't there?🤔 (although it's actually a 1920s plane😉). To be fair, they've almost run out of trimotors!😁

Considering the rapidly declining quality of those trimotors (and they didn't start off that great) I really hope they don't try the Ford...

I am wondering if this will solve some of the issues/slowness that developers have been having with debugging?

Next up,  the early age of dirigibles.

Those were some awesome screenshots.

I was, and am, hoping that they improve the weather. For those of us who enjoy as close as real time weather as we can get, if they cannot get it correct, then let the 3rd parties take a crack at it!

Yep.  These are getting be short on any interesting content now.
Most of it is adverts for the marketplace or screenshots that you can see anywhere.  Plus the 'investigations' seem to take forever.

The upcoming Iberia world update should be alright, but I look forward more to seeing what they are looking at for the next sim update.

I hope they look at loading times - that is now the biggest bugbear of mine at the moment.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Personally, I can't wait for the Montgolfier balloon and da Vinci flying machine twin pack they are (probably not) about to announce!🤗
