Vegetation options coming soon. Not a slider, but low to ultra, will control how far trees render and how dense they are. New visual option in dev mode to highlight trees to see them better for testing.

Italy and Malta is the May World Update. I missed everything, but a ton of city and suburb photogrammetry, new DEM for nearly every Italian state, updated sat imagery from 2021.

I believe the indication is the tree slideris not coming as a seperate and It is already working in the sim. It is the current trees and bushes option low to ultra. The change to the terrain lod slider to 400 max is the slider. Whats coming is a dev mode tool that will allow you to visualise the settings.

I have a bunch of payware airports in that region. Some  listed above. I was hoping for non payware. Tks

Any VR discussion or did Jorg avoid it for the second Q&A running?

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

I think that VR is 1 10th of 1 percent of users.  Yes it is very cool but no the VR glasses (not goggles) aren't there yet.

He did address VR.  I would watch the video yourself.  Its encouraging to hear what he had to say

I consider Jorg Neuman the father of MSFS. It was he who charmed the powers that be at Microsoft into his proposed long term project of getting the company back into flight simulation which resulted in MSFS.

He reminds me of Samuel Colt whose salesmanship for his revolvers was legendary. Colt toured the country demonstrating the newly invented 'laughing gas' anesthesia that dentists and surgeons were starting to use. It was a riotous but high class side show designed to raise money to build his gigantic factory with advanced machinery since he had no money himself.

Nothing on AI traffic... is it only me or does this smugly grin of Jörg getting a little bit annoying?

Because of the qualifier of “nothing on ai traffic…,” its only you.

I get it though, there are things that as individuals, we are passionate about when it comes to our simming experience. It’s understandable you’re frustrated.

There are far more pressing issues that need to be fixed before I think they start paying real attention to VR. Get the base sim working as well as possible and then yeah, you guys can get some better experience with VR. In the meantime, using TrackIR is fine for me. I don't blame Jorg not making VR a huge priority right now, because it's simply not a huge priority.

I don't quite understand why they still need feedback on the replay system.

Record a portion of the flight so you can replay it again from different camera angle and like Seb had in is mind months ago, they could add the same thing as Forza Horizon, a rewind system, so you can easily redo the landing on an airport for exemple.

Asobo just need to go on the topic about replays on their forum to know exactly what people wants.

Was there even a forum where we could post and upvote topics this time for this Q&A? I didn’t even see it in the official MSFS forum.

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall at that meeting where Jorg convinced the executives at Microsoft (perhaps including the CEO of Microsoft) to green light MSFS,  I bet you Jorg showed the executives what the competition looked like, they then looked at each other, nodded to themselves, and said, “yeah, we can beat that.”  The rest is history.

No. Questions came from former compilations, the chat, or Jane's mind.
