These 3 files go into:

Thanks for that info.

Appreciated.

I see there is an icon on the PMS GTN750 for charts, although it is greyed out and nonfunctional.

Does the payware version of the GTN support Jepp charts like the WT3000?

You need a Navigraph subscription (charts I think it's called Ultimate) to have charts in the PMS Premium version.

I'm not 100 % certain but I think you need the premium version of the PMS GTN 750 to get charts.

I see they released a updated flight model file a few days back. I hoped it would fix the floating issue, but I am still floating halfway down the runway with full flaps.
Did I mess up the installation or is the issue still here?

I'm also finding that the braking action upon landing is pretty negligible.

Yes I was thinking the same while was going off the end of the runway at CYTZ last trying desperately to stay out of lake Ontario.

I haven't flown it much but remember, if you are trying to brake, you want to RAISE the flaps while braking.

Respectfully, I have to disagree as this would contradict thirty years of flight training I've received.

The greater the flap setting, the more drag is produced and correspondingly, the less lift the wing produces (although this effect is gradually diminished as the aircraft slows). With less lift, there is greater weight on wheels which translates to better braking action.

Typically, the flaps should only be raised when they are no longer having any beneficial effect, as when you turn off the runway.

If I want to break I first need to get the wheels on the ground 🙂

The ground effect seems to be to strong.

That is interesting. I've been also taught max gross braking after landing with flaps up and encouraged to do so by FAA inspector. LOL

While flaps do create drag, they also create lift. I think flap retraction for maximum braking is usually applied on soft field landings to minimize lift so the tires have maximum contact with the landing surface to prevent sliding. But, full transparency, all my knowledge comes from YouTube so I really have no idea what I'm talking about ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's incorrect.  Raise flaps to increase wheel braking.  Raising flaps after having three wheels on the deck DECREASES lift to the wings and increases weight on the wheels.

It's not just soft field landings, it's all surfaces @vrdubin6

I will add that this is for max wheel braking.  If you want to save your brakes and I often do - and have the runway length...  I usually leave flaps down and pull the yoke back for aerodynamic braking (but I'm not touching the wheel brakes until I've slowed way down).

What can be done about the weak braking performance?  It is a real challenge to stay on the runway if I am even a little bit long on the touchdown with 4,000' runway.
