I simply can not understand why people are crying about the textures. Serioulsy refund the sim! We had crying about no decent planes, no we got one and people are moaning about textures. Do people just want eye candy? or do people want to fly and experince these planes. There is nothing show stopping about the textures.. WOW!

Is it forbidden to expect both accurate and deep systems (kudos to Leonardo for that) AND updated textures matching new MSFS potential?

As customer I have the right to voice my concerns. especially the bar of the "eye candy" in MSFS is very high comparing to older sims, yes we are spoiled in MSFS. Plus paying 90Euros, you'd expect something in that universe

Silly question. Someone mentioned that liveries were available - where does one find them? I see there is a "liveries manager" button in the Maddog Load Manager app thingy, but the available liveries list is blank.

How to install liveries:

Go to the Maddog forum. There's a thread that has the download links to liveries.

Forum link: https://www.flythemaddog.com/forum/

Under the "64bit edition support forum (MSFS2020)" heading, look for the "FS2020 repaints for the "liveries manager" tool" subforum.

Download livery(s) and place the rar files in \Documents\Maddog X Files\MSFS 2020\Liveries

Do not extract the rar files!

Go to load manager - you can find the exe in \Documents\Maddog X Files\Load Manager

On the first page, select the "liveries manager" button. Add the liveries from the list that will now be there.

follow up: Ive pinned it to the auto throttle on/off. If on I get that annoying weird sound clipping/morse code like constant beeping. Turned off it goes away.  Im sure its pilot error lol

No, that is an accurate emulation of how the auto throttle sounds when engaged in the real airplane. The electric throttle servos are physically rather large, and are located in the center console underneath the levers. They are driven by 400 Hz AC and the coils in the servos tend to give off sound at 400 Hz when engaged, and it will come and go. In flight, the sound would tend to be masked by wind and other cockpit noises - perhaps they should scale back the sound level when the aircraft is flying.

Aircraft with remotely-driven AC-powered analog attitude indicators and HSIs such as the Lear 35 also produce 400 Hz whine. It is especially noticeable if the aircraft is powered by a GPU on the ground before engine start.

The aux hydraulic pump and transfer pump need to be powered.

Need to turn on the aux hydraulic system, switch is to the right of the first office FMC.  I just spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out too 😀

The aircraft costs €75, not €90

Just successfully started my first flight, currently climbing out of MDPP in the Insel Air paint.

I haven’t flown the P3D version in years but happily once I started going through the start up procedure a lot of it came back to me, just like falling off a bike.  Got caught by a few things, but I think those same things used to catch me up in the P3D version too even after many flights lol.

So far so good and I’m quite enjoying my first flight.  It’s really interesting having this and the 146 released back to back…both transition era aircraft with the MD82 being a bit more on the modern end systems wise, including an auto throttle etc.  it’s going to be a lot of fun flying these two side by side for the next while.

You need hydraulic pressure to close. Open the valves on the co pilot main panel, bottom left near the throttle quad

If you live in a country that charges VAT. That is nothing that the developer has any control over.
