May 21, 20224 yr Question for the Airbust experts, I was under the impression that if you imported a flight plan from Simbrief, it filled out the plan in the FMC, is that true?

Yes, but you need to start in cold and dark mode (or similar), and there’s an FMC data request action required. Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit. Currently flying: MSFS: PMDG 737-700, Fenix A320, Leonardo MD-82, MIlviz C310, Flysimware C414AW, DC Concorde, Carenado C337. Prepar3d v5: PMDG 737/747/777. Yes. You need to request it (again) on the INIT A page. Then the INIT A page and the flight plan page should get automatically filled. Your Simbrief ID is entered into the Fenix App? By the way, how is performance for you? You were a bit worried before buying IIRC. Edited May 21, 20224 yr by Fiorentoni For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

You need to both "pick up" Simbrief from the EFB and request it from the INIT page in the MCDU. Then it should populate the flight plan correctly. Still need to enter departure and arrival information. Do that by going to the flight plan and first click on the departing airport, then setup SID, then arrival airport to set up STAR and approach. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Its my brain trying to digest all this stuff, that is not doing well..
May 21, 20224 yr Just a quick question: when starting the APU - do you need to wait for the "flap open" indication before pressing the APU start button? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

No, apu control box will do it for you... Whether you wait or not wait, apu control box aka ecb will wait for flapper opening. Edited May 21, 20224 yr by spitzer Uygar Best Regards

May 21, 20224 yr What's people's opinions on VNAV implementation? IMO it seems really good. I've done a few RNP approaches and they're pretty spot on. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

I found this complex RNP approach Blackbox 711 did into Rio De Janeiro to be pretty impressive: Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD

Only tried one full rnp approach into LGTS (RNP Z for rwy 34) and it followed the perfect lateral and vertical profile all the way to the threshold.
