A2A “are inspired daily with what we are seeing now in MSFS”

Looking through A2A's back catalogue, it's interesting to ponder upon what else they might redevelop for MSFS. I doubt I'll get the Comanche, but the C182 Skylane is a possibility. Most of all, a new B-17 would be wonderful. Whatever they do, they're a top-notch developer, and it's great to see them almost on board with MSFS.

We know what the answer should be;

I approve of this message.  However there must be a civilian option so I can fly IFR lol!

Hopefully they spice it up with some optional avionics... GTN, Garmin G5's etc.  Keyword "optional" though so the non-rnav people can still be happy hehe!

The FSX version had a GTN... 🙂

It will be so interesting to see what they come up with for MSFS. The Bar is already very high with the latest airliners and C310R, C414 and others.

I had all the A2A aircraft there were made for P3D. In just like the C 310 better than any of them.

Yeah, a lot of people are saying the Milviz 310 for MSFS is as good as an A2A plane.  I am reading so many comments like this about the Milviz 310.

Yes, and most likely you are right. To be honest, I think I'll pass on their Mustang. There's been a P-51 in just about every flight simulator I've ever owned from Aces of the Pacific onwards, and dare I say I'm a little bored with them ?  As for the Spitfire, yes...but I'm thinking of getting Flying Iron's Mk IX. Their razorback P-47 appeals, but it's really the Fortress I'm hoping for...Stratocruiser too.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Hope they bring the 182 over as well!

That will win a purchase from me.  The Comanche as an aircraft model in and of itself does not fit in my sweet spot.  Nothing to do with A2A, just not a Comanche fan.  With MSFS 2020 my objective is to keep it easy to shuffle aircraft around in my hangar, meaning an intent to avoid over-purchasing, avoiding models I have not in previous sims logged significant hours in.  The Comanche fits that description. I snagged it quickly in FSX and have logged less than 20 hours.  My MSFS error to-date has been the Carenado Mooney.  9.2 hours and it sits in the far corner of my hangar collecting dust, lost out to the two modded default Bonanzas.

The A2A Comanche is a sleek, nimble, and fast machine. I wish that they would consider a Mooney Brave, but this one will do for me. Aside from the JF Arrow III & IV there aren't many high quality "study level" complex singles. I am looking forward to anything by A2A.

My fear is, that when the Comanche is released, the feedback will be:  "It is the same airplane as in FSX, nothing new added.."  😉

If they fix a small number of bugs or irregularities, and maybe add 1 small feature that wasn't possible in FXS, they should be good.

Sadly, A2A seems to have gotten lost somewhere in the last 2 years.

I was a big fan of A2A back in the day and owned a number of their aircraft for FSX.  I drifted away from the hobby for a while and never got into P3D. When MSFS came back, I did and I was curious and excited to see what A2A would do with the new platform, and initially, it seemed like they were excited about moving forward with the new platform.

Fast forward to now. If it's 4-6 weeks until a video is released, that makes just short of 2 full years since their last substantive update (more than a couple of sentences in a forum post). For a company that had such a good reputation, and so many fans, that extended silence is just really inexplicable to me. I get keeping cards close to the chest, but this prolonged silence, again to me, seems pretty disrespectful to those expressing their eagerness to buy products from them.

As a result, I look at this latest post as message not to let the potential prospect of an A2A plane impact my purchasing decisions in the short to mid-term. Frankly I buy more planes than I should. And I'm pretty OK with that. Right now, the Milviz 310 and the FSReborn Sting S4 are on my radar as purchases I am deciding between for the sort of in-depth GA aircraft for which A2A was known. The potential Comanche just isn't part of that equation at this point.

Maybe A2A can earn my interest back. I hope they can. But they can't take it for granted, as they seem to have over the last couple of years.

I've spent $15 on one add-on for MSFS, and I regretted it. I'm picky as hell about my sim aircraft, bought a lot over the years. The only ones that never disappointed me? A2A. I read and watch YouTube reviews of MSFS offerings of late, and while they look quite good, there's always something that makes me say "ugh, I'll wait." I can wait a month or three for my Comanche, hopefully followed by the Cherokee, Warhawk, and Bonanza. Only then will I be happy. In the meantime, I'll fly around in my $15 mistake in this awesome sim while dreaming of something better...

Agree with a lot in this post. This is one of the companies that I have often referred to as “why are they not developing for MSFS” Two years in and now just making a move? They have missed the boat big time in the GA market in view of the recent surge of available high quality aircraft. They could have been first out of the gate to lead the way!

I doubt they are a large team and over the past few years they seem to have been focused on contracts for the military, that likely are demanding and rewarding, both in terms of the product and funding. I rarely flew GA in P3D, but when I did the Comanche was the aircraft I flew by far the most. Looking forward to seeing what they bring to MSFS.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.
