May 22, 20224 yr A2A update on their Comanche and MSFS: Quote I know we've been ultra quiet and we are getting so close to unveiling the new Accu-Sim Comanche. We thought we'd have a development video out by now but decided to take another deep dive and I think everyone will be happy we did. The downside is this last feature is adding 4-6 weeks to the development timeline, but what we are doing now is something I've always dreamed of doing on several levels. And it's slowly becoming a reality on our dev machines.Like every Accu-Sim airplane we've done in the past we try to stay focused on making aircraft that we want and trust that translates into what others want as well. So far, historically it seems what excites us also excites the community. Still, every time we go down a new path there is always a bit of apprehension but perhaps this is what keeps people on their toes (as we see other developers putting out products while we continue to quietly build ours). But we are inspired daily with what we are seeing now in MSFS. Also something we're looking forward to having is platform independence. If MSFS changes things on their end or new simulators want a Comanche, we can more easily make fixes or updates happen without having to go through the long and arduous process of deep systems and physics development. But what I really just wanted to say that we dearly miss interacting with everyone here on a new product. Release day is the most exciting day for us. It's the sharing of our work with others that fills our cup.Thank you everyone for your patients. I hope the wait is worth it for everyone. https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=73544 i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
May 22, 20224 yr Looking forward to the Comanche. The bar will definitely be raised again! Cheers, Bert AMD Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 Home 64 bit, MSFS 2024

I do not have the C414 but the C310 is quite impressive in its flight characteristics, systems modelling and failures. I am looking forward to see what they bring to the table! It has been a long time -- was it 2018 when they released the V-Tail? Edited May 22, 20224 yr by Cognita MSFS 2024. May 22, 20224 yr Somehow A2A Scott (A2A) always make me think of Robert (PMDG). And the other way around. They both talk too much without actually saying something. 😉 Too much drama and blah blah and yada yada yada for me. (Don't get me started on Scott's video commentary...) I always liked the A2A planes though. 😉

It has been a long time -- was it 2018 when they released the V-Tail? I bet A2A has a copy of the Milviz 310 and saw what Milviz can do with a GA plane in MSFS. Perhaps A2A will try to surpass Milviz in MSFS. This is great though for MSFS. More and more 3rd party developers are piling onto MSFS now, which increases the competition, and raises the level of MSFS add-ons. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
May 22, 20224 yr Mmmm....I loved my A2A Comanche in P3D can’t wait for this just hope the fellow from EDRM repaints ports over his lovely liveries.
May 22, 20224 yr I pretty much only flew A2A planes in P3D (and FSX), so I have been waiting and waiting for an A2A release for MSFS. At least there are plenty of excellent aircraft already available for MSFS to keep me busy 🙂 AMD Ryzen 9900X3D & ASUS X870E Gaming Plus MB, w/64 Gb GSkill DDR5 RAM, PNY RTX 5090 GPU, lots of SSD's and M.2 drives, HAVN Case, Virpil VPC Panels 2 and 3, Virpil Constellation Alpha Stick, Virpil Rotor TCS Plus w/ Hawk-60 Collective grip, TM TCA Yoke Boeing Edition, TM HOTAS A-10 and F/A-18 Sticks and TM TPR Rudder pedals. Currently on Win11
May 22, 20224 yr My interpretation of his comments is: don't expect anything from A2A for some time yet. I would have preferred they at least got one aircraft out matching their old P3D offerings, and 'raise the bar' after they at least have something out. Instead we are just on hold indefinitely again with likely little communication on how they are progressing or what the new bar even is.

May 22, 20224 yr My fear is, that when the Comanche is released, the feedback will be: "It is the same airplane as in FSX, nothing new added.." 😉 Edited May 22, 20224 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
May 22, 20224 yr Looking through A2A's back catalogue, it's interesting to ponder upon what else they might redevelop for MSFS. I doubt I'll get the Comanche, but the C182 Skylane is a possibility. Most of all, a new B-17 would be wonderful. Whatever they do, they're a top-notch developer, and it's great to see them almost on board with MSFS. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

If they are that close to issuing a development video, my guess is, we could see the Comanche within the next year for MSFS, A development video means they have something significant to show. And within 1 year is a conservative estimate from me. It could well be released much sooner than that. Anyways, we waited over 1.5 years for the PMDG 737. Waiting another year (or possibly less than a year if A2A makes good progress) is not a big deal. The number of quality add-on planes being released for MSFS, GA planes included (ie. Milviz 310 and upcoming Sting S4), is happening so fast and so frequently, we will be more than preoccupied by other quality add-ons by the time we notice A2A finally releases their Comanche for MSFS, Edited May 22, 20224 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
