May 24, 20224 yr My goodness. This is not going to end well 😱 EDIT: is that smoke I smell? Edited May 24, 20224 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
May 24, 20224 yr As others have stated, I'm also waiting for the 800 as it's the most popular version. I got the Fenix and that's keeping me busy at the moment. Fulcrum One Yoke / FSProjects Airbus Side Stick, Honeycomb Bravo, Slaw Device RX Viper V2 Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, PNY RTX 5080, 48GB RAM
May 24, 20224 yr I am waiting for the 800. I may get the one out now if the Fenix product is unflyable on my system (by that I mean 22 fps or less). I just read over at the Fenix discord that refunds are possible, so I may give a go this weekend. I have the Fenix A320 and will not be buying the PMDG B737 until an EFB turns up. Will buy the Just Flight BAe146 when a fully featured FMC turns up. May 24, 20224 yr I bought the Fenix A320 and Maddog X, as I'm not happy with PMDGs pricing structure of charging near full price for each variant, and the fact they are releasing 700 and 600 first to generate more sales for those who don't wish to wait (and would rather have the 800 if it was possible). Maddog X comes at a steep price but I'm sure (and hope) that the MD-83-88 variants once released won't be full price. In P3D it wasn't.

The 800 was all I ended up using regularly so I am waiting for that but to be honest I'm loving the FBW320 a lot still. Nowadays (with family, kids etc) there's no time available to justify buying 5 payware jets. Back in the FSX era it was just me and the sim ! Oh we might have someone famous here people haha! May 25, 20224 yr Bought the 700. Probably will skip the 800 and get the 900 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
May 25, 20224 yr If not for the credit from buying the P3D 737 NGXu I probably would not have bought the B737-700. Now that I do have it and enjoying the BBJ more than i thought I would, I'm actually thinking do I really need the 737-800. I still have around $30USD credit from PMDG so I'll see how I go....it's the PMDG B747-400/-8 that I really want to be honest...it's like your first true love...eternal....and the H-Jet has me intrigued for those "let's get a way this weekend" type of flying adventures... May 25, 20224 yr Bought the -700. Will skip the rest until the MAX comes out. If you are into airline schedules , say Southwest, Ryan Air etc then authenticity will require you to have an -800, will require you to wait until its available from PMDG and will require you to be locked into specific airline routes and destinations, albeit, there are plenty of them. But if you enjoy a bit more worldly freedom then the -700 BBJ or the cargo version is available now, gives you virtually the whole planet to explore, (a strong point of the whole MSFS sim) still with credible authenticity and there is nothing significantly different in the two models from a sim perspective. And, it was on sale when I bought it. Cheers Terry No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower! Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-10700 CPU @2.90Ghz, 32GB RAM, NVIDEA GeForce RTX 3060, 12GB VRAM, Samsung QN70A 4k 65inch TV with VRR 120Hz Free Sync (G-Sync Compatible). Boeing Thrustmaster TCA Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, Turtle Beach Velocity One Rudder Pedals.
May 25, 20224 yr I prefer the -800, and WILL buy it when it comes out...but bought the stubby-looking -700 and am loving that in the meantime. A nice selection of liveries available, and I'm more familiar with the Boeing autopilot logic etc.from my XP11 flying of the Zibo - I just feel at home in the Boeing plane, and my buddy is a First Officer for Southwest on the type and has given me helpful tips! But I WILL buy the -800....I can't BEAR to be without the Haribo liveries (all 3!), the American Vignelli red/white/blue and Astrojet, etc. 🙂 But I'll not buy the -900.....I fear tailstrikes the way I fly even in the -700! (until the special liveries are released on flightsim.to at least) That all said, the Fenix looks interesting as it's the "old" Airbus model.....hmmm....
May 25, 20224 yr I'm having so much fun in the BAe 146 that I haven't really considered buying anything else right now. To me, there's something really rewarding about old-school navigating and actually flying the plane instead of managing it. I hope JustFlight will consider giving the same love to their L-1011 that they've given to the 146. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. Richard P. Kelly
May 25, 20224 yr I'm all 737'd out with the 700. No desire for another model. Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2
May 25, 20224 yr I was going to wait for the Max. Those never existed in P3D, so large portions of then should be native msfs. I think what is going to happen is the 600, 800, and 900 will come out, the expiration date on any credits anyone has will expire, and only then will we see the MSFS products in the form on the Max 8s and 9s. No free cheese on the new stuff. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
May 25, 20224 yr I will skip a PMDG product until the new LNAV is implemented, than probably the 738, 777 and the Max (if they ever come through with it) . Fenix and the Maddog for me now not much time to fly in the sim these days anyhow.
May 25, 20224 yr I have -700 and am very disappointed with it. Because PMDG decided to please everyone, or went for the $$$ they have severely handicapped the 737. It barely flies better than the free FBW. It overturns and has to correct, VNAV is spotty at best. I had high hopes for PMDG in MSFS, but the route they have taken means I will not be purchasing anything further. Thankfully I had the $99 credit, so didn't have to learn this by going out of pocket.
