HJet Update released today 6/2/22.

Featured Replies

The HJet had an updated posted today.  Looks like the autolights are screwed up now.  They default to all 'ON' and do not change with the condition of the aircraft.  Not sure if anything else is broken.  I put it down for today after testing things out and doing a cross country in AUS.  Didn't feel like dealing with a broken aircraft as other things could be faulty now.😐

I look at all these issues and wonder why I should switch from the Longitude. If the HJ were considerably faster, I might consider but as it stands it's just another small twin jet - might be nice to add to the hangar but not special.

It seems to only affect some users. It was mostly perfect for me. I have not updated, but I have a backup of the plane and will test the new update tomorrow. It's possible that at least on my system everything works as it should. But, if it doesn't, I'll restore my backup.

Did you do a clean install  or an update? I usually delete the old version and re-install the latest full version.

To be honest, I came from a few frustrating test flights with the HJet, straight onto the Longitude and it reminded me just how awesome that aircraft is (with WT G3000 and the FDE mod).  It's a superb experience; the visuals, the sounds, (most of) the systems.   It's only the VNAV that is lacking.  I don't think anything payware-wise has come close to the Longitude yet.  Ironic because it was an absolute mess when MSFS released, but is now a stellar plane in the sim.

I don't usually do this with add-ons from the store but in this case I did.

Which one? Full install or just ran the update?

This is a new developer (one person) so I'll cut him some slack.  The HJet is impressive for the first effort out the gate by a single guy.  Teams of people can't get something like this done.

I uninstalled the HJet in the sim, reinstalled, and restarted my computer.

Just my opinion, but the HJet issues were blown out of proportion …even mIne, which was user error on both counts.  Definitely had some day-1 problems, but every add-on does and needs a post-release patch, unless it’s abandoned, which is far worse situation.  We already have fixes available in the marketplace several days after launch.

I love that it’s a small, highly automated and refined, low workload VLJ/ALJ with decent system depth.  We don’t have many.  The Cirrus SF50 jet will also be a day 1 purchase for me.  I frankly wouldn’t buy it if it was just another medium/large business jet.

I was also cheering Marwan on because he seems to be genuinely invested in fixing any issues and even adding features as people are bringing them up.

I don’t think this aircraft is meant to switch people from the bigger/faster transports, but rather fill a gap in products much like the Mustang did for FSX, and later P3D.

Best Regards,

Mark

100 percent its a great little plane and the developer is genuine and reliable, this is a sim so if the auto lights are not working after an update im certainly not going to hangar it, it will get fixed soon no doubt just fly it and enjoy it,

I could reset the lights by tapping the L key once or twice.

Precisely, I like it because it fills a gap for me where I just want to do a quick flight, maybe from my local airport to another non-international airport like we're day tripping, it's much faster than the props, very automated for single pilot use and I can pretend I'm like all those YouTubers that grab their plane, hot co-pilot and go somewhere for lunch or a  holiday destination.😂

I agree.

If you have the CJ4 and the Longitude, I don't see a burning need for another small jet.

As it stands right now, the state of biz jets (especially long range) is still abysmal in MSFS.

I will buy and hoard all bizjets in MSFS just because🤣😂

Totally agree 'Just because' the airliner environment in FS isn't fully there yet.  If you don't have reliable airliner traffic at airports like KATL or KIAD what's the point?🥴  Private at least allows you to depart and arrive at airports with a somewhat accurate depiction of traffic on the ramp.  You don't see too much of those mislabeled airliners flying around airports with default FS colors and/or airliner liveries that totally don't belong at those airports.  Heck the go around depiction at major airports looks like a child took hold of the controls of those default planes and decided to buzz the airport.  It looks abysmal the way airliners behave in FS right now.👎
