You can upgrade.

Read my comment above yours - he is talking about upgrading to the deluxe aircraft.

You can only upgrade the full package, which means paying for up to 20 custom airports that you may not want.

That's why I bought the full package to begin with. Some folks were trying to save coin...then later had a change of heart....not sure what to tell you.

I mean, isn't this how cable packages used to work? MSFS 2020 isn't Netflix (or in a sense it is, if you get a Gamepass subscription).

Seeing the remarks about the Longitude made me curious and since I have the full deluxe premium cheeseburger edition, I installed the mods mentioned for it above and did back-too-back flights of 481Nm (KSBA to KACV) to compare with the H-Jet.

With all due respect to the developer(s) behind the Longitude mod, I can see why anyone who hasn't bought the HJet would be happy with the improved Longitude, but to me it still doesn't hold a candle to the HJet.   Yes the Longitude is more powerful, faster and has very long legs (as you might expect of a higher category business jet).  The sounds are good.  But for me the user experience was not comparable to the HJet due to many INOP switches and controls (reminding me of the King Air), lack of true VNAV as mentioned above, an extremely limited checklist (just 2 pages for Before Start and Engine Start) which was not integrated into the aircraft, no passenger cabin or cool wing views, and the overall utilitarian and bland cockpit.  Some of this is subjective and I had other issues which may very well be user error such as I was unable to turn on synthetic vision on the G3000 PFD, speed brakes would disarm and throw a warning light after each cycle and require manually rearming and the aircraft failed to capture the ILS localizer and glideslope on final approach at the destination despite having the ILS frequency dialed in, Nav source set to VOR1, and pressing APPR while at the proper height to intercept the glideslope from just below.  If I were to spend the time to work out those last two or three issues it would only serve to bring the Longitude a bit closer to the level of the HJet but it still wouldn't meet or exceed it, for me.

Meanwhile the HJet just oozes quality, attention to detail, convenience and innovation that makes it a much nicer place for me to cruise at altitude and watch the world go by, albeit at approx 100 knots or so less, but still swiftly.  All for the price of a decent pizza these days.  So although my time with the modded Longitude represents an hour or two out of my life that I will never get back, it was worthwhile as it makes me appreciate the HJet even more than I already did.

yop guys, i like this little bird too but still i think it requires some fixing, but for most people it seems quite perfect reading the comment above so i'm wondering if it's just me.

The VNAV has certainly been improved in the patch but do the screenshot below seems normal to you (i hate to post screenshot of my flightdeck because i'm not just an amateur so probably it's me doing things wrong but well i'd like to know 😜).

So i'm in VNAV descent since a little minute or so (well it's currently at -600 because it dived a bit too much at the start so it's levelling a bit which is not a great sign of vnav smothness but well ok it worked quite ok on the whole after that) but what i see on the plane screens doesn't make much sense to me. Have you checked these kind of things, do that VNAV page on your flights seems fine ?

- i'm at 12'400 -> in the profile below the map it shows like i'm around 9000

- the vnav page on the g3000 below, for me it never matches with the vnav indication that shows below the map on the bottom right, is that normal, i always get completely different indication on those 2 (i think it seemed quite consistent when i was using other g3000 planes like the tbm, but with hjet i just don't understand it seems broken to me)

- in the g3000 it reads time to TOD 0.13 .. it remained like that until the end of flight, VS required never showed anything, actually all information on that screen seems quite bugged atm.

pardon me if it's just user error 🙊, trying to learn 🍻  .. it's just that some aircraft i trust what they do (pmdg / fenix / even the cj4 or the standard WT g1000xni / g3000 modded planes but this one i have to constantly check because i don't really trust it, but yeah still for some reason i like it 😜)

I had other issues which may very well be user error such as I was unable to turn on synthetic vision on the G3000 PFD, speed brakes would disarm and throw a warning light after each cycle and require manually rearming and the aircraft failed to capture the ILS localizer and glideslope on final approach at the destination despite having the ILS frequency dialed in, Nav source set to VOR1, and pressing APPR while at the proper height to intercept the glideslope from just below.

No offence intended but yes, must have been user error as each and every one of those points works perfectly. Synthetic vision works perfectly and is activated in the GTC screen (when set to PFD), which is incidentally exactly where it is set in the HJet!

Of course I do appreciate what you're saying - the HJet is more fully featured of course.  And there's lots of brilliant innovation in there.  But when I rotate in the Longitude, I feel like I am pulling a 17,000Kg aircraft into the sky.  In the Hjet, I just don't get that convincing feeling of mass or inertia from the hand flying characteristics (wholly acknowledge it's a much lighter jet, but the point would apply to a C152 as well).   And the fact that HJet came with a lack of key command bindings that come with every default MSFS aircraft, is the sole reason it's hangared for me.

But subjectivity is the word here.   When I take off in the Longitude, I can glance to the left with TrackIR and have a fantastic view of the scenery.   The HJet has those awful, narrow, diagonally cut windows, with a very restricted view outside.  I guess we all value different things from simulated aircraft.   Some love all the custom systems. I do to, but for me it's more important that some basic fundamentals feel right too.

I also noticed that but, as I don't use TrackIR, I created a new custom view closer to the window assigned to a button on my Thrustmaster FCS throttle and now I have a great view. Did the same for the right side, so I have great views to both sides now.

No offense taken whatsoever and I figured the issue was probably in the unit between the seat and the yoke, as is usually the case with these things. 😏

Your points about the feel of the aircraft and the windows are well taken also.  I did notice the feel of the aircraft on rotation and to be fair I should have given it a couple of more flights.

I also agree with the side windows but as I usually end up making a custom camera.cfg file for most of the payware planes I have, the side visibility is now improved somewhat with some slight adjustments to position and zoom.  But that doesn't avoid the difference that the Citation has inherently better side visibility, which is nice.

I am getting MSFS Overstressed message during climb and the sim ends.  But why? My speed is about 240 or so. I did not hear any alerts.  It just terminates?

Just turn it off, it's not adapted to 3rd party planes. It's actually not adapted realistically to anything.
Also turn off crash damage, you will know when you crashed, and you certainly don't want a flight to "crash" because of a bump in the runway (like at ESSA) or a tree on the runway. It doesn't really add anything to the sim except for frustration.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I use crash damage off but stress damage on and don't have any problems, unless I overstress the plane of course.

You must have been flying the default Longitude, it has "vnav advisory" which works quite well. The statement about wing views is just plain wrong, the rest of your issues seem to be pilot error.

The HJet had an updated posted today.  Looks like the autolights are screwed up now.  They default to all 'ON' and do not change with the condition of the aircraft.  Not sure if anything else is broken.  I put it down for today after testing things out and doing a cross country in AUS.  Didn't feel like dealing with a broken aircraft as other things could be faulty now.😐

Just so this isn't left hanging to resolve the problem I posted here:

1. Don't do an in place upgrade.  Uninstall the product fully, close out of FS, and then reinstall the aircraft from the market store.

2. Don't just close out of your sim after installing from the marketplace.  You'll need to close out the sim an reboot the computer.

For some reason the lights are touchy and if you find them all on just close out the sim and restart.  This product doesn't play well with an in place upgrade either should one come out.

Just my observation should anyone have an issue.  That being said I really love this bird.  I've been touring AUS with it. Crossing the Outback from Gold Coast to Longreach, to Uluru, then Perth.  Currently taking the southern route back.  Great aircraft!😎
