This looks absolutely wonderful. I have no interest in doing a 12 - 15 hour flight in any aircraft, but I will grab this for sure, and make a donation as if it were payware, even if I only use it for takeoffs and landings. It's a bit like the Concorde, in the sense that I feel it's one of those aircraft you just should have. Although, boy, there sure are a lot of those out there. Any chance FBW will do a 707, or a DC10, or maybe a B58, or how about an A5 Galaxy, or an AN124 or 225 (trails off forlornly into the distance, muttering to himself)

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Sick!!!  In a good way haha!  Why will this be freeware?? - that's nuts!

Open source? anyone with the knowledge are welcome to contribute. I just hope the thousands of users would at least donate a few bucks even more to show their gratitude for this project, the A320nx too. Something tells me most won't though.

Agree fully with the above. The best way we can show our appreciation for all their work is to donate whatever you can afford towards the project, no matter how big or small the donation.

Looks so good. Not my cup of tea (long haul), but I sure can appreciate the work and modelling that is going into this. Very cool.

You could fly this from San Diego to Los Angeles if you wanted to. It's a simulator.

Yes you can...lol.  High density short hauls...nothing wrong with that!

This should be payware tbh...would be a first day purchase for me

WOW!  I expected it to be good but this is another level.

Looks fantastic.

There is nothing more boring than long haul flights for me though, so I hope this will support a sim rate of at least 8x.

Not really nuts, there is the A32NX, Inibuilds A310 and now A380X. All high quality freeware Airbuses. I am getting used to this! Only thing is I prefer Boeing's which there are no high level freeware (except XP-Zibo).

I thought frames on ms2020 tanked doing long haul after a certain amount of time??

Use this: Don’t Get Comfortable: The World's Shortest Airbus A380 Routes (simpleflying.com)

or a little bit of imagination, you are not bound to the cruelty of real world economics or ecological restrictions. 😉

I think for some this has been an issue. Not sure what the status is on this topic as I haven't heard about it in a while. I've been doing up to 6 hr flights lately with no performance loss.

If or rather when I get the A380 (I'll definitely donate) I'll do the same airliner flights I've always been doing i.e. max 2 hours.
