August 19, 20223 yr Has this airplane always been for sale in the marketplace. It's very inexpensive, but is it any good. Perhaps with FSRealistic? Or just be patient and wait for the A2A version and not be disappointed? It's the 1975 retro one to be specific - can someone check as I don't them much but usually just to position them for shots. https://flightsim.to/file/38264/1975-retro-livery-for-carenado-microsoft-bonanza-v35b/324020 Ryan I flew around Manila and Sitka and had no problems hand flying or with autopilot. Lovely flights and livery.
August 19, 20223 yr Great one for an excellent price! Love the interior modelling and already downloaded all of @ryanbatc's liveries 🙂 But I can't seem to get the GNS530 to work correctly. I've selected an RNAV approach, but I'm unable to activate it. Any advice? Anyone got access to the POH? I haven't tried doing a Google search on it yet. Or anyone got any advice on MP and prop settings for climb and cruise? EDIT: So the way the 530 works is apparently to fly to the last waypoint in the flight plan, then to the first waypoint of the approach. I've no idea if it's possible to go direct to the approach. I hit the menu button when having the first waypoint of the approach selected, but "activate leg" is greyed out. Edited August 19, 20223 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
August 19, 20223 yr The current state of the Garmin gns530 is very poor. Thankfully WT is updating it heavily in the coming months. For now I only use the GNS for point to point simple nav and use VLOC and vor or ils for the rest of my navigation. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

I think for £12, as Ron says, it is a steal. Whatever flight sim I have, I always want one of these in my hangar. I just love this aircraft. Does anyone know why it was called the doctor killer? I know flying doctors used them in Oz in particular. Was it due to an aerodynamic peculiarity with the V tail? I got it for sentimental reasons - because the announcement made me dive for my old Logbook and I was endorsed on this baby April 24 1974 and flew one quite a few times in Australia but didn't know of any Doctor Killers She flew heavy - but I found the high sitting of the nose and little front move disconcerting on landing

Don't have any issues, manual or autopilot. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Very much looking forward to an upgraded version, as I think I'll fly this plane a fair bit. I'm currently flying over fairly remote parts of Quebec, where VORs are a bit scarce. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

I don't generally fly with the 530 - so is it correct that in it's current state you cannot use Direct or manually enter a fp? I found no way to get the cursor active to input anything. Essentially it is a poor moving map - or have I missed something? RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

Once at the FPL page just use the smaller knob (mouse wheel on your mouse) to start entering characters. Outer larger knob to go to the next text or field. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

That's the issue - the knobs light up and move but no cursor on the screen. I'll check to see if I have something else enabled that interferes. Basically knobs do nada. FWIW, installed the PMS530 and am able to input a Direct to but not manually create a fp. There is no cursor block. Uninstalled the PMS530 and basically can only change pages but no cursor shows to allow input. BUT - if you guys say it works I'll dig into my setup and see if there's a conflict. 😞 RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

The PMS 530 is OK and worth having.. Edited August 19, 20223 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
