I was flying earlier today and had the new GSX jetways at the default airports.

Please tell me we're not back stuck w/ the herky-jerky-SODE jetways we had in P3D, yes?  My biggest fear for Umberto and GSX for MSFS is not getting the animations to as high a quality as we have in default MSFS, including ground crew and jetways.  How do the animations look now, at GSX release?

Mine have been very smooth in operation so far. I don't think they're SODE any more.

In short: your simple logic fails completely. I think a lot of your customers are annoyed by your repeated attempts to shift the blame to MSFS instead.

My simple logic has been confirmed not only by the fact, but by Microsoft itself:

So if people are swearing many of CTDs have started after installing GSX, how’s that Asobo’s fault?

EASILY EXPLAINED, straight from Microsoft Community Manager:

https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/constant-ctd-every-flight-now-ntdll-dll/537543/618

This specific CTD starting occurring on or about Friday, August 19.
That's the day after GSX came out, I see why people were "swearing" CTD "started with GSX" but, if this is not a clear case of "correlation is not causation", I don't know what it is.

The thread on Microsoft forum is now more than 1000 posts in length, and there are *hundreds* of users that never had GSX, or even ANY add-on. The ONLY thing that relates GSX with the CTD, right now, is the release date.

respected simmer and fsdt dev

it is not easy to say ur problem in that forum because since last 3 days i was waiting for their approval for the log in in FSDT forum for approval so that i can bring my prob in the forum/ still waiting,i thing the dev is list bothered what the people are facing with their product. i dont understand why they have made the product installation so complicated. after buying the product there is so much problem with there update system .and more over they are not active in this big forum which they should. the price we paid does not come free. it is every body's hard yearned money. dev keep every one in the dark by not saying about the prob in the product hiding the truth from the costumer.no doubt it is a good prod. and more over there is no tutorial about how to properly installed the prod because there are people out there like me who is new to prod .so waiting for prob to be solved

There's not SODE (yet) for MSFS. GSX only replaces the model for the jetways on default airports (with appropriate logos), not the function of the jetway. But sooner or later we will need SODE, because the MSFS jetway function often bugs out and - most importantly - does not allow for multiple jetways on one aircraft.

Animations for GSX are better than P3D but not yet top notch. Of course GSX does much more complex movements than MSFS default ground services, so it's not quite fair to compare the quality of animations when complexity is widely different. But yes there's always room for improvement.

There's an ultra-extensive manual - everything is written there, from install to config to usage. And I'm sure you will soon get access to the FSDT forum. Keep in mind there was a weekend the last two days and FSDT are a rather small developer.
That said I don't really see the need for manual registration on a forum, but maybe they will rethink that.

The installation can't be easier. But it relies on downloads. Downloads had issues because of cloudflare nodes not getting our latest files, because of too much traffic due to release. This will sort it out automatically in the next days, and in the meantime, we have an offline installer which will provide the files in any case.

We have a backlog of forum registration to process, but email support has always been available, and threads can be read and the downloaded installer is on an external site, so even guest users can download it.

If you have a problem that hasn't been discussed yet on the forum or the posted fix doesn't work for you, just use the support email.

Fair enough, I think the whole issue with GSX is FSDT themselves and their defensive attitude. This is not P3D world with small numbers of users, things in MSFS world gets heated super fast if you don’t act quickly and most importantly, you gotta be humble and acknowledge what the users face.

there is no defensive attititude, lol . Its literally in your mind, sorry but someone has to spell it out. garlic bread u rambling

msfs2020 is quite complicated (.exe file instructions streaming to all sorts of user side configurations ) and will come to its own at 2024  most likely as a a multi-media games platform

You can still acknowledge there is an issue but deny it is your issue if you have conclusive evidence to correlate your denial and that doesn't mean you are defensive... It means you are confident the issue isn't on your end which it appears was the case.  So not defensive but defending and apparently rightly so.

Customize Airport Position. Check Disable staircases.

And while you are at it, disable the staircases for all of that airports gates that have jetways.

Also later today...RTM😁

Now it works! i don't know why it didn't want to work with ORBX's KSBA airport.

Does anyone have a way out for refueling with the 737? I read and re-read the manual but i can't manage to configure the fuel via GSX and see the pipes?
