Yes, there is a RL 4L ILS.

Saw a UAL 737 land on it yesterday.

I have a good amount of traffic using AIG traffic controller. Just do not like all the generic repaints or incorrect paints I still see... At least the airport is nice!

You should not see ANY generic repaints or incorrect paints with AIG, you probably have MSFS traffic set to "offline" or "ground aircraft" to >0.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Thanks. I'll try this out.

This one is very heavy at cpu. Cpu usage almost doubled with this one. I think this should be optimized.

Just some some results, using PMDG 737-600 and 800, flying from KDTR, landing ils approach on 22l, and 4R, TLOD set down to 150. did 4 flights in last couple of days, lots of scenery when on final, especially using 22l, and u hook up first with the localizer, to your immediate left is George Washington bridge, followed shortly the NYC skyline, have addon SamScene,

Anyway as stated before, unlike Flytampa, FS Dreamteam,or Flightbeam, products where I could run TLOD at 200 or even higher, U have basically no choice but to run KEWR at 150 or even at 100 if you want  to enjoy a nice smooth flight, otherwise, good chance you will enjoy a possible slide show.

Finally, I am satisfied KEWR, but once again not for everybody.

this scenery looks good but runs like trash I call on DD to optimize it !!

They have apparently responded to say that they have done the best that they can. I have decided not to purchase it based on the high number of people noting performance issues, same with iniBuilds and LAX.

Both airports are in very developed areas with a lot of photogrammetry and other nearby airports so I am sure it is taxing and there is a limit to how much can be optimized. I am interested to see what Flightbeam achieves with KSFO, also a large airport in a dense photogrammetry area with nearby airports; if they pull off such a detailed airport with low performance hit I will likely conclude it is the capacity of the developers to optimize that is the issue. I think the reason these legacy developers -- FlyTampa, FlightBeam and FSDreamTeam take so long to release is not just the detail they provide but the amount of effort that goes into optimization. It is a skill and an art learned from the fire of 32bit simulators. Being able to make a nice looking detailed airport is one thing, and it seems many can do this; being able to optimize it well for performance is another thing all together.

then they should not make sceneries anymore. This is now the 2nd scenery from DD  (this and Chicago) that dont work period.  Ridiculous.

By far my worst performing airport as well. It's a bit of a let down, honestly.

try setting TLOD down to 100, that will make a significant improvement to performance, that's what I had to do, both with KLAX, KDTW, and now with KEWR  The sceneries are beautiful, but unlikef lytampa, fs dreamteam, and flightbeam, out of the box u rarely have to do any tweaking, what they show u, is what these 3 top of the line developers deliver!!

It's frustrating, in the fact u spend around 20 bucks or so, and the program delivers one stutter after another.  In my case, just had to cut down TLOD to 100, m I happy about that ? No. but this is the price we pay, developers before they come out with their product make sure that they are optimized as much as possible.

Anyway, my  next adventure, and not to go off topic, is to purchase KSEA, possibly.

still a joke that you have to go down to TLOD 100 just to get it to not run 10FPS.  I will never buy another DD product again this is for sure.

Maybe You should have 64 core cpu and 10 ghz core speed to run this scenery with higher(>150) tlod settings.

The update was pushed this morning claiming 30% FPS increase + customization of details. Just curious if someone tested it.

Interesting.  I got mine via Orbx but I don't see any updates in there.  Hopefully it will get in there soon and I'll give it a try
