Sorry but this does seem like something specifically wrong with your hardware or settings. I don't have that happen at KMDW even with the Chicago Landmarks and AIG at 100%. And I bet my PC is worse than yours.
Also check for any marketplace addons that might interfere, those are not in the community folder.

I found a few 3rd party freeware object libraries lying around and deleted them. Started adding stuff back in; so far seems much better. If Accuseason doesn't screw it up, those libraries may have been the culprit

anybody have any results on the new update for KEWR ?

10700kf, 3080 nividia, 32gbs 3400mhz, 1,000 watts power, M.2 DVMe !tb, boot, 1tb 7200rpm, storage, windows 10 home

Here are some test results that I just completed with the new improved  update of KEWR: First of all my specs are below, TLOD was set at 150, I used real world weather from the simulator frames were unlimited, usually I lock them up at 30,

Anyway, did I find much improvement not really, the scenery is absolutely fantastic, while waiting at gate C97, for about 15 minuutes with the PMDG-800 frames were in low 20's to high teens, steadily, while panning inside or outside the cockpit still had some stuters was a bit disappointed.

Proceeding to the runway frames were steady and smooth  in the low 20's.  Remember this was done at 5:00 pm with lots of traffic  Also remember from the Inibuilds Manager I had everything loaded from the scenery configurations.  Most of my settings from the sim are on Ultra or High

I have at least 20 payware airports from Fs Dreamteam, Flightbeam, flytampa, Orbox, and Inibuilds, etc.

Comparison leaving from KBOS flytampa, at the gate frame rates were in high 20's to mid 30's, and proceeding to the runway frames increased to low 40's.  This test was done at 6:00pm with the same exact settings as KEWR.  The main difference was increased frame rates, on the the otherhand KBOS was BUTTER SMOOTH.

Finally, would I buy KEWR again ?  Well, its absolutely not for everybody,   Going to have to tweek some of ur settings if u want butter smooth flying, especially when at the terminals  All my other addon airports mentioned above I never had to tweek or play around with settings.

Good luck.

I flew in tonight with the update and the stutters on approach were just as bad.  I noticed static planes were turned on so maybe that had something to do with it.... hopefully the short final stutters gets fixed!

Did you tried to set your LOD settings not more than 100 ?

For those busy and big Airports high LOD is a killer, same goes for high settings with the AI Traffic System, i would check those settings always first at heavy Airports..

cheers 😉

It has acceptable performance after last update. But still you should have last gen cpu if you want to use ai traffic and high tlod(>150)

I pretty much did the same flight as you, and also have a pretty similar PC, very smooth leaving KBOS (FlyTampa), some stutters on approach and almost a slideshow while taxiing to the gate. Changed LOD from 200 to 100 when taxiing and instantly got a much smoother run to the gate. Cannot be sure if statics were still on, I just updated and went at it. Makes me wonder what kind of PC some developers create their sceneries on.

Has anybody tested the effects of turning off some settings in the ORBX / IniManager? You can now turn off interiors, 3d people and cars.

Well, hey guys..... 👋

Kind of late to this subject, but just as a heads up, there is a pretty credible KEWR freeware at Flightsim. To, that seems good enough for government work, even if not exactly sporting tons of bells and whistles.

Perhaps give it a shot? Its very light on frames, though it does apparently have some dependencies.

I use the free one. It’s quite nice.

I was contemplating the DD version then the freeware version arrived.  It does the trick for me as an only occasional visitor to EWR.  Performance is good.

I got the DD version. If you turn all of the options in the control panel off then the FPS is pretty good.

Thanks HiFlyer for indicating there is another KEWR in town.. Well worth saving over $24 and my computer has no problems with fps.

I believe that is an option when you install.  Could uninstall/reinstall and uncheck that option.  Not sure if you can simply run the installer again or not but you could try...
