The Queen’s state funeral starts at 11:00BST (10:00GMT) on Monday 19 September. Early rise for those on the East Coast and middle of the night for the West Coast.

So here in America 3 or 4 years ago Kelloggs did television commercials showing an actress pretending to be Elizabeth doing things and then the scene switched to a factory and the announcer would say something like, "Meanwhile back in Battle Creek, Kelloggs is busy making these golden flakes of corn". Then it would cut back to Elizabeth: 

One question is settled for me : a tail coat with grey pants is definitely the way to go to be really chic, a tuxedo is nouveau riche. The kilt is not bad either and may come back strong with the climate warming up.

I started kindergarten here in Canada in 1966 and we sang "God Save the Queen" at the start of our day. The next year,1967, we switched to "O Canada",  I'm not a monarchist but yet I feel sad that this marks the end of an era. RIP our gracious Queen. One thing for sure,  I wish they would keep Elizabeth II on our money though, not a fan of the new King.

I nearly went with my kilt yesterday but opted for my vintage green tweed 3 piece suit with complimentary tie and flat cap.
