Absolutely!  I'm so glad XP continues to develop it's great to have a viable alternative to MSFS.  Right now I'm doing everything I want to do as a flight simmer in MSFS:  PMDG 738 w/ my new TCA Boeing Yoke it's a whole new experience for me, at least the pendulum yoke is :biggrin: and it's taking some serious getting used to but I can tell it will be sweet once I have a few more hours with it and have it calibrated correctly.

If MSFS died tomorrow I'd head straight for XP and resign myself to flying in a smaller world w/ ortho scenery.  Interesting on their clouds it's quite obviously a tough gig to get right within a performance budget.

This is it:  fuzzy, blurry, out of focus often.  As hardware capabilities march forward let's hope Asobo can use some of it and perhaps SU10/DX12 provides some of the headroom needed to really improve cloud depiction.

It looks a bit like attic insulation, but still much better than other competition out there.

I was thinking of putting together a new rig, but each time my fingers hovers over the buy button, I look at the frame rate counter for the two games I'm currently playing: Deus Ex Mankind Divided and Far Cry 5 - the former givesme abou 50 fps on average on very high settings, the later around 40 - and say to myself: is a new rig really going to "spark joy"?

I think I'll hang on to my PC - which according to Logical Increments - sits somewhere between destitute and poor - a while longer and see how I make out.

I've just updated it.

It is weird, the NVIDA DLSS option in the options menu is missing!

I've only TAA, FXAA and DLAA options.

Anybody with the same issue?

I updated to new Nvidia driver. DX12 and DLSS are both still available. I flew around in DX11. Am now rebooting MSFS to try in DX12 and compare (I'm in the beta).

I'm in 1.26.5.0 after the SU10 update!

I'm puzzled!

 

I mentioned before I have been using DLSS but not DX 12 (DX 12 micro stutters when looking out left window and down in VR). With new Nvidia drivers confirmed installed, DX 12 still micro stutters in VR mode. It does not stutter in DX11. 

I will continue to enjoy the increased performance of the beta, but in DX 11 only. DX12 is no good on my system with the  old  or new Nvidia drivers. (I did not and still do not get missing tile artifacts in DX 12, just those micro stutters when  in VR).

EDIT: I'm in Steam, and Steam doesn't yet have the SU10 update. I'm in 1.27.21.0 (beta).

SU 10 is not here yet. Tomorrow morning will be released. DLSS will then appear in anti aliasing options.
