Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

The first picture of the clouds looks like you're on some distant planet, and it's definitely not earth.

The second picture of the clouds looks like the mothership in Independence Day 🤣

Either way, if those cloud shapes are fixed, there is still the issue of why are the clouds so blurry, like somebody forced a pair of out of focus glasses on you that don't even match with your vision.

I'm very happy that MSFS clouds are the way that they are.  IMO, MSFS clouds are the best for any flight simulator, with DCS coming in second.  I acknowledge that Asobo needs to work on the clouds that look too dark with the weird shadows (ie. the volcanic ash clouds), but even in SU 9, I don't see those clouds very often anymore, and they are very infrequent.

Not to mention even if these weird cloud shapes are fixed, the problem is that the clouds are still very, very blurry in these pictures.

both sims still need alot of work/updates with clouds👍

Except MSFS clouds is miles ahead of the competition.  Here is a good example of what MSFS can do in SU 10 for live weather, that I don't see any other flight simulator come close to (especially with live weather being taken into account):

If there is a "holy grail" of live weather and clouds for the technology we have today, MSFS is much closer to this "holy grail" than any other home market flight simulator out there that I have seen.

And just to be fair in case you think I am cherry picking this one video, you can see more cloud pictures and examples from SU 10 in the thread here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/good-job-on-the-improvements-to-the-weather-engine/529227/260

Hi,

I've just updated it.

It is weird, the NVIDA DLSS option in the options menu is missing!

I've only TAA, FXAA and DLAA options.

Anybody with the same issue?

Thank you.

You have not updated it! If you left the beta in the XBox insider app and restart MSFS it will reinstall SU9, which, of course, has no DLSS support.

Again: If you use the XBox insider app to withdraw from the beta - do not load MSFS again until the official release is announced as being live and available.

There's some talk of using the "new" nVidia driver, but as I understand it, there's no game ready driver out yet. There is however a studio driver that was released yesterday. But I don't see how this is going to work with DX12 when SU10 is released in a few hours.

The Studio driver is right there in Geforce Experience to download if you click on the "..." menu next to "Check for updates". I think I'll give it a go if the "Gaming" driver doesn't release today.

Maybe my old version of Photoshop Elements will get more FPS.

The NVidia Studio Driver that dropped has the fix for the corrupted images with DX 12 using the optimization during the SU 10 beta:

However, Asobo still needs to turn back on the optimization that they took out during the SU 10 beta.  Not sure if they will do this in the SU 10 release today.

In any case, I'm waiting for the game ready driver.  I don't want to install the studio driver. I'll just happily use DX 11 until the game ready driver comes out.
