I had to do a comparison. 

Both situations: KJFK, 4K TAA ultra settings, Vertigo apron external view, real-time online traffic, ground aircraft density 100%

Generic models on the left, FSLTL models on the right:

I would say that the impact on main thread is insignificant. Strange that there's less impact on the system though with generic. I double checked. 

Fun fact: you can see the infamous image distortion due to AI frame generation in the left image. It's usually more visible on overlays. I haven't been able to capture many artifacts on screenshots though (I've taken plenty), even though you'd think the chance of screenshotting an AI frame would be 50%.

The GA part is in beta and quite limited at the moment AFAIK. Phantoms freeware mod over at flightsim.to works well, I've tested it. It requires some editing of a .json file in the official => aig-base-traffic folder to edit out commercial traffic. Without this, Asobo airliners will appear in addition to FSLTL ones. 

Ah. Did not realize that could with with AIG and FSLTL. I will give it a go. Does it lower FPS like it did with AIG?

The only reason you would have gotten lower FPS is because you are letting AIG inject A LOT more traffic into the traffic bubble which is approx a 90-100 nm ring around your aircraft. So yes, without all of those AI you will get better fps.

Just install over the previous one. The FBW installer takes care of everything.

Yes and No. I was talking about using AIG in conjunction with the offline GA traffic mod. I had AIG set to pretty low overall. I think I kept it to 30% and about 15% of offline GA. With FSLTL, I have it set to 50, their GA set to 0 and the offline GA mod to 40 and the FPS difference was significant for me.
