They are listing, "Preorder starts at 12am ET, Wed Oct 12" I've done business with them online multiple times, over the course of more than a decade. They have been 100% reputable, and they've always shipped asap. If you sign up to be notified they often drop the notifications a little before they hit the site. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=rtx 4090&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ps Myself, I'd like to find one of the water cooled examples. Thanks this helps, I think this is the first time I'm seeing the pricing per different partners. Why is this pricing all over the place like that? Aren't all of these 4090's the same? October 7, 20223 yr CPU first makes more sense, in Dev mode I need WAY more power, and even my disk speed isn't fast enough, it's mostly because in dev mode there are bugs that introduce lag because there is some type of threading issue with custom materials (something like that). It works, but sometimes you have to wait even when it is not really doing anything. When building airports, it's best you do everything in a very specific order so your PC is fast enough, but even then, I could use more speed. When flying, I don't need any upgrades, a 3800 12GB + AMD 5800x is plenty fast enough. Edited October 7, 20223 yr by Alpine Scenery AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

Hey Ryan, I run a custom refresh rate of 50Hz on my 4K TV, VSYNC - On in NVCP and use Riva to lock to 50fps. I typically find in this scenario my CPU & GPU timing are very similar, both around 15ms but when running live traffic I can edge into main thread limited but it doesn't really cause any issues. I find 50 fps very smooth and it still gives my hardware some headroom. I am still also switching between DX11 & DX12 as I haven't decided what I prefer. I run mainly ultra settings with clouds on high and Ambient Occlusion off. TLOD 175 & OLOD 200. I might lower mine slightly if I go back to live traffic (right now have it all disabled). Live traffic in busy airports is the only real gotcha once you get to a 3080+, so I guess there is THAT for people that feel they need to upgrade, though CPU will probably help more regardless. They should have given the user 2 options of what texture sizes to install (as a minimum 2 options), so that was their main mistake. They have limiters in the startup that people can use to prevent too many planes, the problem is some people aren't using the limtiers and are expecting max performance with everything max'd out. They should have given smaller texture option though. Edited October 7, 20223 yr by Alpine Scenery AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

I ran FT's Boston with FSLTL - the GPU/CPU was alternating a lot so it was being equally taxed I guess. With clouds this is about the worst my PC does. Very rarely there may be a momentary dip into the high teens with heavy low clouds. Almost all Ultra settings here except terrain LOD is 300 instead of 400. 400 really melts my cpu.
