Microsoft Flight Simulator’s major updates are publicly tested to ensure maximum performance and stability when they launch to the game’s many players. DLSS 3 support will be launched alongside the next update, which will be available to test from October 17th. To participate in the test:

  • Download the “Xbox Insider Hub” app from the Microsoft Store
  • Sign-in with the account you use to play Microsoft Flight Simulator
  • Click on “Previews” in the left nav
  • Click on “Microsoft Flight Simulator Beta” in the list of available Previews
  • Click “Join” on the new screen

When the next Microsoft Flight Simulator Beta launches on October 17th, your game client will update automatically, and DLSS 3 will then be available in-game.

I'm more bothered about the possibility of having access to FSR 2.1 in SU11.

AMD 9800X3D,  NZXT X73 RGB AIO COOLER, Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WIFI7, 64GB 6000MHZ RAM, 4TB Samsung Pro NVME, 4 TB Crucial P3+ NVME, 4TB Crucial SSD, Gigabyte Gaming OC Geforce RTX5090, Antec C8 ARGB Case, X55 JOYSTICK/THROTTLES, LG 4K C4 42" TV/Monitor 120 Hz, 2 Dell 1080 monitors. Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle. Thrustmaster TPR Pedals. Moza AB6 FFB Joystick, Pimax Crystal Light VR, Tobii Eye tracker, Steelseries Arctis 7+ Wireless Headphones.

Hehe, I'll take the news any way I can... looks like 4 full weeks then for the open beta run if they stick to the Nov 11th release date, which they very likely will given it's one of those special releases. We also won't get to preview the new free goodies/aircraft likely until actual release, as iniBuilds already confirmed on their discord that the A310 will not be available in the open beta.

Well no, that just means we won't see the A310. Nothing about the other aircraft.

I imagine there will be at least one Helicopter will be part of the test because those physics are brand new for SU11.

Well I forgot to add "likely" as obviously that's my assumption.. hopefully some of the other 3rd party developed birds coming in SU11 will be previewed in the beta.

Most likely, the helicopter and glider created by Asobo will be in the SU 11 beta to test the new helicopter and glider physics.  But I think any aircraft created by 3rd party devs probably won't be in the open beta.  I think MIcrosoft wants to lure people to buy the 40th anniversary edition, so they don't want to kill the hype until the SU 11 release day (November 11th).

The way that announcement is worded I'm pretty sure MS was 100% onboard.

Yeah, but I feel like this is something MS would want to announce first themselves, not a third party.

So, we will all hurry up hunting the first 4090 cards until 17th of October.

Kind regards, Michael

Cat's out the bag now. I was actually going to comment here that we're one month away with no announcement so the timing makes sense to me. Either way, I'm pretty sure MS is going to say something today.

Conflicted. SU10 for me is running so well  and smooth right now I've completely stopped watching frame pacing and framerate stats and switched to dx12 lol !!!

Well I'm in the beta group so i guess ill just deal and hope they didn't send the bull in the fine china shop.

Me too....plus my current rig in no way could support a 4000 series card (It feels like I would need my own power station to support it)....pretty much means a whole new rig for me.   Its been in the cards but my 5 year old PC is running MSFS really well (shocking to think about it) that I am torn on getting a new one....
