Yes, for all the RTX cards, so 2000 series too.

Thanks, I haven’t actually tried DX12 yet but looks like now is the time.

So far so good with DX12. Sitting at Trudeau Intl with lots of AI traffic provided by FSLTL and weather courtesy of REX (as Asobo weather is on holiday). I've struggled with Montreal before but I'm getting 40+ fps with a TLOD of 150. Great multithread usage, GPU at 65%, CPU at 35% average, VRAM 10.5GB.

I'll go for a quick sightseeing flight and see how it goes with the photogrammetry. Or I'll just sit tight and watch the airliners arrive and depart...

Any real benefit for cards older than 3000 series?

I have a 2080Ti and had fantastic DX12 performance in the 1st SU10 beta. Ever since, no good. Complete stutter fest.

This driver seems to have gotten me back to the great DX12 performance. I'm still in my 1st test flight, but it sure looks good.

i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

H/T on or off with DX 12 ?

9900K and 3080 12G

Its off at the moment at 5.0 ghz

Cheers

So over Montreal in the analog King Air I'm not getting exceptional performance in DX12 with TLOD 150 (rest are ultra). I'm barely managing 30fps. Strange thing, I'm GPU-limited, both in TAA and DLSS, with GPU render times as high as 30ms. I guess nVidia is tricking us into buying their new GPUs 😉

But it might be more smooth even though fps are not that great. Not sure. Last time over Montreal it seemed more choppy.

encouraged by the DX12 reports!  Just hope the motion blur part by asobo is finished sooner rather than later so I can actually enjoy flying in DX12.  Right now I just use DX12 for spotting and looking around.

Just finished a flight in the analog King Air from Montreal to Ottawa with the new game ready driver. Overall smooth, but I was surprised the fps was not higher, given that I ran a TLOD of 150. As we know TLOD has the heaviest impact on fps. Here's some numbers:

CPU 64% GPU 69% VRAM 15GB

13-10-2022, 00:43:02 FlightSimulator.exe benchmark completed, 164778 frames rendered in 4302.625 s = 1 hr 12 min | Analog King Air CYUL-CYOQ DX12 TAA TLOD 150

  • Average framerate: 38.2 FPS
  • Minimum framerate: 0.5 FPS
  • Maximum framerate: 52.3 FPS
  • 1% low framerate: 22.4 FPS
  • 0.1% low framerate1.3 FPS

Not the best results, really. Especially when looking at the 1% and .1% lows. This screenshot is taken before departure, whilst still at Trudeau Intl. Quite high GPU frame times with those REX clouds. And that was with DLSS. Most of the flight was without REX though and with TAA.

Just finished a flight over southern Ca. in the T-45. Without Vsync on steady 50fps. This is with 'High setting' See signature for specs. have the Vsync now at 50% of refresh rate. Running great.

Hmm yeah. Just testing out SU11. I think the DX12 magic with the new driver might be working in the beta. Loaded in to Asobo KLAX with TLOD 150, 4K ultra settings. With real-time online traffic (want to test the AI traffic changes). And I'm getting a whopping 50fps on the ground, silky smooth. HWiNFO reports average CPU usage of 76% evenly spread across all cores. How exciting! 🎈🎉🍾

was this with DLSS on??

Hmmm... no improvement for me in DX12. VRAM is still 100% used.

Nope. I'm tempted to just load all my addons (FSLTL, iniBuild's KLAX) and check.

I still get better FPS about ~8 more in DX 11 than DX 12....TAA

No fps improvement for me. Still exact same. Maybe because I only have a 1080ti

I don't think my FPS is much higher but the smoothness is definitely better. But...I am getting a flicker every 10-15 seconds or so. Trying to hunt that down.
