Rob, in the beta I get stutters every flight near upgraded airports when in DX 11 (but not in DX 12). But I don't hear many reports of bad stutters in DX 11 from anybody else, it seems.

I'm experiencing terrible stutters. Over PG the game is nearly unplayable, which was never an issue before. The game was always incredibly smooth for me, not even on a high-end system I could turn up my settings, up until SU10. But SU11 takes the fun out of it. This is in DX11. Must try DX12, maybe.

Memory, GPU and CPU usage are by no means maxed out, much better than before, but smoothness is almost gone.

When it is smooth, I have 45fps, but it can drop to 20, 15 or even below 10, which makes is a stutter fest.

Yeah, same for me in DX 11 with WU11. Thought I was going to have to play in WU10, until I tried DX 12 and the problem vanished.

I was using the SU10 beta and never had issues.

Regarding Addons : beside Amsterdam Schiphol I only use addon airports.

But I did read about the CTD’s with several default planes hence that is why I asked if it was safe to opt in right now…

Otherwise I would prefer waiting a few days till things are getting more clear.

I am still waiting for a Schiphol addon! Jealous if I am look on the other big airports addons.

I've been tested SU11 beta, whilst it's running more smoothly for me now with DX12 I still get some stutters on every flight - some appear ATC related.

I've had no CTD but still get hanging whilst loading some flights when GAIST V2 beta is running - ok without.

Although I doubt it I'm still hopeful that Asobo release a further update for AI traffic - however and on the other hand I wished they just leave it for now and concentrate on a complete re-write of the code base with a firm release date to set expectations for users and third party Devs.

I couldn't even use GAIST in the beta as MSFS would freeze/CTD on flight loading.

There's an interesting discussion on the current beta process here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/su11-beta-what-you-see-is-what-youll-get/553464

I wonder if it could have been better if they delayed the AI traffic improvements to SU12. That would have given addon developers (FSLTL, AIG) more time to collaborate with Asobo on the new AI logic.

Am I correct in assuming they haven't fed any of the 12 new 40th Anniversary  aircraft into the SU11 Beta testing?

AI traffic cannot be released in its current SU11 beta state - there will be many unhappy simmers if they do that - it’s frankly broken now and they need to roll back to SU10.

Info on the SU11 beta mentioned that none of the new aircraft will actually be in the beta release(s).

No new aircraft in beta

I get why they're not opening up the 12 aircraft for testing from a marketing perspective but they better make sure they're all rock solid for the 11th.

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

They must still be bringing in the bacon if they are just throwing 12 free aircraft at us, pretty crazy.

My theory is they didn't want people joining the beta to just use the new toys instead of actually beta testing.

That could very well be the case.

Just a reply to myself. The latest Nvidia drivers fixed the stuttering, and brought the fps back up to the SU10 level, so I'm happy.
