The ATR is listed under flightsim.to as uploader since June 2022! The actual uploader is still active on flightsim.to with numerous addons (216 pcs). (I for one would leave the platform if something had been "stolen" from me and would not continue to publish there. Could then happen with my other addons also so that the evil devil takes them away from me) The ATR was originally payware (Virtualcol) and was ported by the uploader with permission. if one does not close one's eyes completely willfully, then one should recognize that there must have been some agreement. I have asked the original author of the ATR - hope I get an answer. February 23, 20233 yr Just because they use a .TO domain doesn't mean they are from Tonga - Anyone can register a .TO domain, they don't have restrictions on it. You can register one for yourself from any part of the world if you really wanted to. So that part of the argument is not valid. February 23, 20233 yr I´m wondering how the developers action to remove stuff from FS.TO is going to be advantadges to the user. Do the user get products (freeware or payware) sooner, better, cheaper, easier?? February 23, 20233 yr Question for all: how the heck do you guys keep now track of your addons? Already now I guess so many devs have taken their stuff off flightsim.to that I am at a loss, if the next SU or WU arrives and those addons need an update, how could I potentially know then? What a bummer, really... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

Edit: F737MAX was faster 🙂 Nice that you can look at that If you go there, one of the things you'll find is an office and phone service on the 7th floor....😍 Regards Rainer https://simmershome.de

I did that with other sims and spent more time updating than flying! Rick Abshier 5900X | RTX 5070 Ti OC| 64 GB@3600 | India Pale Ale
February 23, 20233 yr Author I expect most people will be back, if they actually went away rather than making lots of noise. As for a .to domain all I can say is that buying one revolutionised my serial killing. I actually walked into my local police HQ, garotted the chief inspector in front of everyone, flashed my Godaddy registration and strolled out shrieking with laughter.

I did that with other sims and spent more time updating than flying! The cleanest solution I've seen is where they just upload a .txt file with the new location. Unless another site gets the volume and ease of fs.to, if an update breaks the add-on, and it's not easy to find the new home for that dev, I have to treat is as no longer maintained and move on. Although, one person who left fs.to, then uploaded to nexus mods. Which is the site fs.to copy pasta the TOC from...

I honestly thought they registered a .to for the "to" like "go to" and not anything with the actual country of registration. I've registered a few cute domain names just because I liked how the domain name and suffix went together.

February 23, 20233 yr Author I expect it was the only snappy one with 'flightsim' available. The only type of site that might inspire enough creators to move would be more of an aggregator/ front end pointing to self hosted files on commonly agreed services. But even without uploads/ downloads running a big enough one would be more than most people would be interested in coping with. Unless the old school places massively up their game, and I'm not sure why they'd want to, very few will want to use them regularly. Edited February 23, 20233 yr by superspud
