MSFS and Windows Update to Windows 10 22H2 version

Featured Replies

Hi all:

Still with Windows 10 here and no plans to move to W11 yet.

I've been prompted weeks ago (or maybe months ago) to update my current Windows 10 version from 21H2 to the newest 22H2 version. For those of you that had already updated to this newer version, did you have any issues at all with your MSFS install, regarding stability, performance, others, etc.?.

Thanks in advance for your valuable comments.

Cheers, Ed

Updated from W10 (no clean install), no problems at all.

Intel Core i9 13900K, NVidia RTX 4090 FE, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64GB@6000MHz, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe M2, Asus OLED PG42 UQ

I have never ever had any problems with MSFS and any version of Windows I've used. W10 (and all its updates) was fine, W11 (and all its updates) is fine too. I prefer W11 btw. Best Windows version ever imho. I see no reason why someone would want to stick with the old W10.

Been on Win 11 from day one, if anything a lot of ctd's etc stopped since switching.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

I've updated through all Windows versions, now on Windows 11 - never had a Windows-related issue. It's rock solid.

Win 11 is great no complaints from me.

Because there are things that are much quicker and easier to do on W 10 versus W 11.

My W10 pro has been on 22H2 since 2020 without any problem.

I think 22H2 is from 2022, but I'm maybe wrong.

We may be both right, Ed !

My settings page says

Edition Windows 10 Pro

Version 22H2

Installed on 06/11/2020

To tell you the truth, I let Windows do its job of updating without looking much into it. So it might have been a 2022 update over the initial 2020 install. Hence the date.

The point is that I am on 22H2 and didn't see any OS ill effect on the sim (or anything).

That's effectively the point. Thanks.
