Black Square Announces the B60 Duke!

As a fond pilot of the old FSX Real Air Duke, I agree with the comments on here. Smooth guages, great FM... I worry just a touch about expectations being met with the new one, however I look forward to being wrong.

I have similar sentiments but I'm not worried about the quality.  The baron is already excellent and it's "just" an interior mod.  That's a joke I like to say because it's actually very advanced with failures and systems depth.  But my point is they're making all that and designing an addon from scratch.  I believe it will be superb!

I’m hopefully the Starship turns out decent….

I'm looking forward to that as well I'm just not sure it's going to sell great.  It's a super niche plane.  And it's got a lot of glass that's probably tough to simulate in depth.

Hey, you reminded me.  I found my old CD and will give it a spin tonight!

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Nice! Glad I could be of some small assistance. Blast that "Mustang Sally" loud and proud!!! 😁

So I can keep this thread on topic as well, I have almost all the Black Square aircraft and they have quickly become my favorite GA planes to fly in MSFS. I really enjoy the upgraded systems and how the fly, and I really feel like BS will do the  Dukes justice. We'll have to wait and see though.

Between this and the barbie jet I think its a first day purchase for me. Just read about the duke and it sounds pretty amazing. Since I love GA twins to begin with.

Looking at a release in a couple of months perhaps.  We'll have it on the Just Flight website quite soon, as part of the In Development section.  Hopefully this week that'll be.  It's looking rather special folks!

Hmmmm duke ❤️

I have several hundred hours in the real plane the Duke B60. I loved the Real Air B60. I thought it was surprisingly accurate.

some questions from the thread-

the vertical stabilizer is made of magnesium.

The originally certificated ceiling was Fl300 before the RVSM rules.

VNE is 232kts.

max ramp is 6819 lbs and takeoff-landing 6775 lbs with 232 gallon tank;

cruise is 180kts

Looking forward to her in MSFS!

The zinc tail issue was on the V tail V35 bonanzas not Dukes.

Any chance they do a Lancair Legacy?

That would pretty much be my dream.  FSW is doing a G3X / GTN panel version....using the 'Starship' N321TF as the reference model (and they constantly talk with the owners).  But until WT makes a major G3X update I'd still love an analog version like the RealAir one.  Well mostly analog because I love my TDS GTNxi and engine monitors etc....
