the small font size is just like on the crj.  some have complained about it to deaf ears.

RE the pop out thing.. this may belong to a different section ,but now that i have your attention... Why can I not make it work....?Any ideas???It used to work!!Cheers

When you put the mouse cursor on a gauge and hold down the RALT key - do you get a big plus sign in a circle? Or just hold the RALT down and move the mouse around over various gauges - do any of them show the plus sign?

Yep, I get all the symbols but no action....???The other monitors are all set up via windows and are identified as such.

Must agree as we must actually be able to use the instruments on our simulated aircraft as a number one priority.

Been trying since day one of release to get the cockpit/ND MFD textures to be clear  crisp and sharp, instead of dull, small and fuzzy. I have an RTX30 series GPU and Intel 12th Gen CPU, 32gb ram. Experimented with 'in game' settings, rollback Nvidia drivers and Nvidia control settings all experimented with with no success, if I use any of these settings with the PMDG or Fenix or FBW A32N - all perfect. I've given up and accepted it as it is.

Thats why we have pop up views, i use them all the time with all aircraft i fly, they are set on my second monitor and is a very good option - at least for me..

While that does work it is a terrible solution really. They also really aren't that performance friendly either.

Looking at videos from “Fly with Magnar”, that discuss the ATR glass cockpit and show close-up views of the PFD/MFD, the font used in the sim version appears to be correct, as well as the relative size and placement of the various elements of the screens.

As Rob Young points out, it is difficult to emulate actual aircraft displays on a computer screen that are clear as the real thing. 

What I do is assign custom camera views that are bound to the numeric keypad for quick access. I have views for the PFD/MFD, FMS, engine display etc that are closely zoomed-in which makes them easy to see, as well as a zoomed-out view that shows the perspective that would be seen at normal viewing distance for taxi takeoff and landing.

Especially setting an ALT. The font is so light and hard too see. I’ve given up on using it in VR as the eye strain of trying to read it is fatiguing. Non-VR I have to pop out the PFD panel and it’s readable. But I really love VR flying. So maybe this plane isn’t best for that. 

Same with the CRJ

In VR i just right-mouse-click for a quick zoom in and release the button to zoom out again, simple

I know it is expensive and not for everyone, but this is why I bought a Tobii Eye / Head tracker and never looked back.  I simply lean in and the panels are right in front of me and clear. 

you can set the longitudinal movement axis to 2:1 ration even so very little movements will bring out the clarity.  I couldn't be without it now.

A TrackIR should work the same.

Of course, the best solution would be if they improve the clarity / size of the typeface, but who knows if they ever will.
It might not be that easy and they could end up having to re-write all of the display code to make sure it fits.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Perhaps a good HUD would do the job.  In FS9, it was easy to simply add an HUD guage which would solve many vision issues during critical phases of a flight.
