I recently moved from a house with carpeted floor. To, one with wood floors. I am looking for suggestions on how to stop them from sliding.

Thank You!

Glue some anti-slip pads underneath? Have them rest against the back wall so they can't slip forward?

Buy a small throw rug or doormat to put underneath the pedals. I have Thrustmaster TPR pedals and my computer room has tile floors. They did slide on the tile, but I put a 2 x 3 foot rubber-backed rug under the pedals and they don’t move at all.

How far our from a wall are the pedals to be?  My Crosswinds slide even on carpet.  Mine sit with the leading edges approx 18 inches from a wall.  I cut an 18 x 20 inch section of pegboard and attached 20 inch lengths of 1 X 2 over each 20 inch edge.  I then just slipped assembly in between the wall and the pedals.  Works great!

Once the pedals stay still you may next need to keep your chair from rolling....

If facing a wall, put the woofer box of your sound system against the wall and then have the pedals up against the woofer box.

What kind of pedals?  The amount of force required impacts what the solution could be.

NovemberUniform,

You were right. I have to strap my chair and I to the desk. To keep from rolling back. 🙂

Hi Bill. I too have Saitek Rudder Pedals. Very slippery!  What I did was cut a sheet of Plywood to fit nicely under my desk. The Plywood sits against the wall and my rudder pedals are screwed to the plywood using the plates provided by saitek.

Problem Solved!

One good thing for saitek pedal is it have straight face in front, so it can easily put against something... try that with TFRP....

I just get a small carpet for my computer desk area...

Those peddles have holes moulded into them for screws. Just screw them into the floor in the position you want them to stay. If your wife says "did you screw those rudder peddles into my nice oak floor?" Just deny it. That's what I'd do. I'm a flight simmer. I only got married so I'd have someone to make my dinner while I was playing Video games. My mammy used to do it before she died.😒

My Saitel pedals slip - even on a carpeted floor - so I did what others here have suggested: put a wooden slat between them and the wall (which isn't too far).

Get  a set of replacement casters where one or two have locks or brakes.

A wooden brace against the wall mounted on a plywood base  land locking wheel castors did the trick for me and my Ruddo+.  I have to use a clamp to hold my pedals down in the from otherwise they will lift off the plywood when I press hard on them.  Permanently mounting wasn’t an option for me as I needed to be able to put driving pedals down too.  There’s a picture of my arrangement in this thread:

Incidentally I never found a good solution to move beyond the “temporary” clamp referenced in that post.
