Could the Caribbeans be better ?

Featured Replies

I've been flying all the over the world and was rarely disappointed by the MSFS scenery. It can even be said often spectacular.

I am crisscrossing now is the Caribbean islands (Turks & Caicos to Grenada).  And I am not happy of what I see. A rather coarse sat imagery and vector data, dull vegetation, darkish not to say gloomy autogen buildings. Almost FS9 territory. Only thing, some  very lovely watermasks.

I have never been in or flown over this region in real life. So I cannot  really compare. Maybe it is not as glamorous as seen in movies 😄. Did I expect  too much ? You people living there or knowing the places, what do you think  ?

Anyway, I wish that Microsoft would give us a WU doing better justice to theses islands.

Yes I agree.  The water masks are often very poor quality.  After market airports help, but only so much.  The only thing more disappointing to me is alaska.  Which is a shame.  I love flying in both.

I would love to see a future world update for the Caribbean.

WU Caribbean It would be a great event, one of my favorite places to fly with landscape and challenging approaches for GA and airliner.

I am just out of a flight around Barbados. Very bad...

There is over there a thread which needs some love

I agree as well. I love flying in the Caribbean (I worked there for Royal Caribbean 40 years ago). They have recently improved the watermasks in the area but even with that and the nice sceneries from .to, it is still lacking. I hope we get a World Update for the Caribbean soon. It's a beautiful place in real life, but the sim doesn't do it justice.

Absolutely correct! I'm living in Curacao and flying here around a lot for my job! The region definitely needs more love in MSFS!

The Caribbean is stunningly beautiful to fly over, boat upon, or swim beneath.

MSFS 2020's representation of the Caribbean regions is "poor" at best

We have being asking forever for a Caribbean WU, but I guess they lack proper satellite/aerial images for the region perhaps..(?)

But a ton more can be added like POI, proper landmarks, bridges, vegetation etc..so really no excuse to not doing anything than the default

This seems to be the case if you ask me. When it comes to tropical islands, the pacific has the much more scenic ones.
