Storm setting definitely better than default as far as visuals go

I agree, but xEnviro takes storms to another level - amazing anvil clouds spreading out from the storm with lovely dark skies underneath.  Rex is great, but peronally I think xEnviro beats it.

It will be interesting to see what improvements are being brought to REX's Weather Force.
During the Discord live session on AccuSeason the other evening, a sought-after new feature was briefly mentioned.

I'll leave it to @rstoughor @MikeT707to divulge or not, so as not to (pun intended) steal their thunder.

Just out of interest, does XEnviro change the sky colours at all?

Not the sky itself.

Default weather is pretty good now. I flew out of KLAX last night and it was spectacular looking.

I agree with the exception that for two of my last three flights the MSFS ATIS-reported altimeter setting has been considerably off of the live metar and the weather reported in-sim in the 'Waypoint Infor, Airport, Weather' window of my G3000's Garmin  Touch Contoller (GTC).  Today on a flight in Chicago Midway, MSFS ATIS was giving me 30.07 when live metar and GTC both showed 29.94.  Had similar experience yesterday at the end of flight to KFFO, Florence, SC.

Interesting, as it certainly changed the skies in XP11. I was thinking they might be doing their own atmospheric colouring.

I haven't noticed any changes to the blue sky colour itself. However, the cloud shading is more dramatic than default or Rex.  The general feel of the atmosphere is more bright or gloomy depending on weather type.  Clouds are higher resolution, and have more realistic shapes than default or Rex IMHO.

Lately I've been going back and forth between weatherforce and MSFS weather.

I do the same. Stock weather has been hit and miss for a while now, but I fee like it’s gotten a lot better lately. There used to be no weather at all flying over open water (which I do all the time, my main sim area being in the Caribbean), and REX solved that problem. Lately though I’ve been using stock weather without that problem. If I had to pick one and stick to it, it would be REX.

I agree, I just completed a trip in Norway with live weather and the sky looked awesome today!

I would tell you again to ignore MSFS ATIS because it's bugged since they introduced METAR weather, but I won't because last time I did you didn't accept it very well.

Unfortunately, I don't think it will get fixed any time soon.

Perhaps I was not clear.  The crux of what I feel is that the methods of determining what the sim is actually throwing at you in the way of barometric pressure realistically comes down (no pun intended) to landing and then pressing the B key and viewing where the the pressure reading settles on the altimeter.  ATIS/AWOS are unreliable, do not match metar reports, and most often the sim does not match the reports.  So it is realistically the only way to tell, and on the destination end of a flight the only reliable way to see.  I have often witnessed three outcomes.  ATIS, metar, and B key.  All different at the same time.
