July 19, 20232 yr Just reverted back to 477.11. Silky smooth no issues. 536.40 was so buggy I had lagging loading of textures, FSLTL was turning airports into slide shows and I had constant CTDs.
July 19, 20232 yr Though I had not experienced CTDs after being pushed to update to 536.40, I did experience greatly reduced performance. Prior to the update, my old i7-2600, 16 GB RAM and RTX 2060 Super kept chugging along in the 29-47 fps range with only an occasional stutter. After the upgrade my average dropped to 20 fps (over the desert) and around 15 fps near even a small town! I reverted back to 531.29 and everything is smooth again - locked pretty much at 30 fps no matter what the environment. I will not change again unless it's stated as necessary to even run the sim and needed features. Randall Rocke

July 19, 20232 yr I had horrific stutters until reverting back to version 531.29. Ironically MSFS likes this driver, it runs very smooth. Specs: 11900K (5ghz), 64GB ram 3600mhz, RTX 3080 ti
July 20, 20232 yr I'm still on 536.40 running DX12 and my last few flights have been super smooth. No problems at all. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
July 21, 20232 yr Just this morning, the 536.40 started showing problems with sound, pops and crackles. So I went to the latest 536.67, no more snap, crackle. pop. Ran great all afternoon. July 21, 20232 yr Why exactly is the driver version 535.79 recommended? Anything specific to MSFS with this version or did they just arbitrary chose one version? Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery

The currant driver includes a fix for latency (536.67) that has been around for quite a while. The 536.67 driver is giving problems to many people, so the recommendation to go back to 531.29 is still valid. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/nvidia-geforce-game-ready-536-67/601572/28 Edited July 21, 20232 yr by Alvega Alvega CPU: AMD 7800X3D | COOLER: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L Core ARGB | GPU: RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB OC | Mobo: ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI |RAM: 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000MHz PC5-48000 2x16GB CL36 | SSDs: WD Black SN770 2TB NVMe SSD (WIN11), WD Black SN850X SSD 2 TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 NVMe (MSFS), Crucial MX500 2TB (Other stuff) | CASE: Forgeon Arcanite ARGB Mesh Tower ATX White | Power Supply: Forgeon Bolt PSU 850W 80+ Gold Full Modular White

With the A2A Comanche I've had 4 CTDs out of 6 flights. I'm on the latest driver. Haven't been able to test other aircraft, but I've never had that many CTDs so close together. Don't know if it's driver, Sim or plane related. Edited July 23, 20232 yr by bcuomo
