August 15, 20232 yr It didnt take long, before I realized this plane does make most every other GA offering to date feel like a "toy". Just completed a simple VFR flight from KRFD to my home base at KPWK in fairly breezy conditions.Bounced around so perfectly I really felt like so many small flights Ive taken as PIC for years. As of now I really cant fly anything else....too bad spent a lot of dough.
August 15, 20232 yr I fly often irl - small single pistons. I enjoy the Comanche. But I also love my black square bonanza and baron. Additionally the milviz (I mean blackbirdsim) C310 is very in depth - which I enjoy.... Along with the less in depth FSW C414. I love going fast so anything I can get my hands on that is a reasonable representation of a GA is something I continue to fly in the sim....SWS RV14, Kodiak, even the (gasp) Carenado PC12. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 15, 20232 yr Yeah, I feel the same. I'm mostly an airliner guy but this thing really has me hooked. It feels alive and it's a pleasure to fly in every respect. It has weight and really does what I expect it to do. Quirks and all. It's caused me to unstall a few aircraft. They won't get touched again because of this thing. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
August 16, 20232 yr I really have not flown anything else since its release, nearly a month ago! It really does feel alive and I will spend many, many hours with it. It has taken me away from the airliners, that I have basically lost interest in for the time being with all their present issues, and as others have said my other GA sit idle. I have left only the 310 and 414 installed, but neither has left the hanger since the Comanche released. I hope this inspires other developers to give their products this level of detail. It sets the bar pretty high now and I won't purchase anything else that is not in the vicinity of A2A. The same thing happened in P3D -- purchasing an A2A aircraft saved me a lot of money on other addons. MSFS 2024. August 16, 20232 yr I own the C 310 and Kodiak. but frankly I doubt if I will fly them again. If I want to fly a GA aircraft that flies like a real aircraft, the Comanche is the only one for me.
August 16, 20232 yr I love how the plane creaks when it hits turbulence. Reminds me of my times in a Cessna 172. All that is missing is the smell and the heat. Ron Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
August 16, 20232 yr It is definitely a step up. Interestingly, the main forums are not quite so full of praise and instead are full of complaints about everything from having to use the tablet to change fuel through to complaints about the flaps and the landings. Goes to show you cannot please everyone.
August 16, 20232 yr While I do like and enjoy it, the Comanche hasn't stopped me flying other aircraft in the sim at all, especially some of the ones mentioned above, and adding the C152 and C172 improvement mods. I think the difference is, I am not a flight instructor or a real pilot, and sometimes I just want to jump in and have a relatively 'simple' flight. That is why I like this sim. It can cover a broad spectrum of tastes, it can be dumbed-down enough for people like me, without spoiling it for the upper echelons of the flight sim community. August 16, 20232 yr I've been having some problems with my rudder pedals and have been having to use auto rudder but auto rudder does not seem to work with this plane for me. August 16, 20232 yr I think it's by FAR the best plane for MSFS overall. The only issue I have is with crosswind and ground physics: it doesn't convince me at all, but it's not a major issue like in default airplanes.
August 16, 20232 yr All I hope for is that A2A get busy & finish the Aerostar - used to do bank runs with them for years - so I wonder if they will model the fact that if you don't keep the ball in the centre after T/O you got a good chance of bending one of the bananna bars on a main gear door Rattso Cooler Master Cosmos 700M - MSI Godlike X (Devillike!!) - AMDD Ryzen 9 9950X3D (water cooled) - 128gb Corsair Vengeance 5200 D5 - ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Liquid OC GDDR7 32GB - EVGA 2000W P/S - Creative AE-7 - intel Optane 500gb - 3x 2tb M2 SSDs - 2x 2tb Samsung EVO SSDs - 1x Hybrid 2tb HDD - Brunner CLS-63E Joystick - Honeycombe Bravo quadrant - Brunner CLS-B rudder pedals - Samsung Odessey Ark 55" - G9 49" monitor

Auto rudder make it impossible to do any kind of crosswind approach and landing. It makes flying like driving a car.
August 16, 20232 yr I've never flown a prop aircraft anyway comparable to the Comanche, well apart from a few minutes "driving" a Rockwell Commander 114 and a Robin D400 I still prefer the Carenado V35A - it's so far my preferred GA in MFS ... OFC from a strictly procedural POV, operating the aircraft with a unique realism including preparation, inspection, maintenance and so on, nothing comes close to it in the GA class, at least that I know...
