When I asked him why, he told me "Because we were still winning then." 🙂 Always get a chuckle out of that one. That's the weird part. The water is maybe a meter deep so on takeoff and landing with these boats you'll touch the ground underneath and hear a scraping sound. Jörg once talked about bathymetry coming eventually but clearly that's not high up on their list. Edited August 24, 20232 yr by OuterMarker
September 2, 20232 yr I like the attention to detail in harmonizing the city update and the rest. Do we have the right to be unhappy with a free supplement?

Yes...Here we are not in the same problem of tiles loading as the plane moves but in fast and poor quality work that is indefensible because it is free. Excessive free supplements it's a strategy like any other. Nothing serious, it's not going to change my life and my opinion. And when I read some who claim that MSFS is the only simulator to have done extraordinary things where the others Sims have failed, i pour myself a second glass of very good wine to savor this ridiculous moment.

I do enjoy your poetic criticism. It tends to be accurate even if some people don't like to hear it. I am grateful for a lot of things MSFS brings to us, especially for free, but a lot of complaints about the fundamental issues still fall on deaf ears, and some people try to crush these criticisms because we get a lot of stuff for 'free' - I think that is the main driver for those wearing the rose-tinted spectacles. We are three years in now, and a lot of fundamental issues still exist. Then again, if they were solved, the reasons for 2024 would be less convincing. That doesn't stop me from loving MSFS and enjoying it in certain contexts that I like,by making shots for example and sharing them. I also give myself the right after purchasing MSFS to give my opinion on certain things that I find crude and not worthy of an NG simulator as it claims.I don’t like to beat around the bush and I’m not here to build a team either ( Others are really so excellent in this area that there is nothing left above their little heads except the sun.... ) I prefer to defend what I love alone, without a net. Another natural pleasure that I love out of greed. It annoys dieticians.

Sure, and there lies a perfectly legitimate reason for people to have a gripe and get frustrated! There are too many fundamental issues which should have been sorted the moment they were reported.
